Ganglians - "Lost Words" From the new Monster Head Room LP (and also the Ganglians/Eat Skull split 73 FWIW).

Breezy, psychedelic Sacramento SXSW standout Ganglians accurately describe their new debut full-length Monster Head Room as "pure naive headphone acid pop to drive to." (If you don't have a car or bike, you can do other things while you listen.) In addition to Monster , the guys also recently released a self-titled 12". Both collections are out via Woodsist. When I featured Ganglians in the Outsiders , my two cents were accompanied by "Hair" from the 12" and Monster 's "Valient Brave." To hopefully add to the intrigue, here's the ambling, "Rainy Day [...]
Ganglians - Rats Man Hey guys just chilling in Barcelona post-Primavera Sound (it was good, missed Wavves MELTDOWN though, damn rite?) but did see Black Lips from this massive Hammerhead-style concrete platform in the sky that the cool kids (some w/ hooge chocolate-shaped blocks of hash) broke into to watch those punk bros who was all like "this is the shittest stage we´ve ever played on!!!" and "THESE MICROPHONES SUCK" which seemed expertly facetious or something but actually I don´t think it was. You just can't argue with garage rock when it's on woodsist. Ganglians - Hair (mp3)

Not all of Stereogum's favorite sounds conform to what folks expect us to cover. In this space, resident Bananafish fetishist Brandon Stosuy focuses on bands, albums, singles, and villages in Sweden that may otherwise pass by unnoticed. This installment's virtual milk crate contains Ganglians . If you ask them, Sacramento's Ganglians consist of "the whole of the Ganglian race" as well as "the squirrels in the walls that bounce acorns across the ceiling in the dead of night." So far, I've resisted the urge to look too hard to find out more. What [...]
We have been a bit bad lately, what with all the joyous disco, synthetic fear and versicolor reconstructed pop, we have perhaps neglected the other leg supporting the 'it's so not art' bed where your 20jazzfunkgreats gaunt ghouls wallow, roll and frolic frenzied like brain fried commuters crashing onwards in ...
