Gap Dream - 58th St. Fingers Gap Dream - Feast Of The First Morning Lo-fi garage-rock stylings with hazy/dazy guitar jangles, echoey vocal work, and a delightful bedroom-pop project aesthetic on this self-titled release by one-man effort Gap Dream. It's not too far of a stretch from some of our other top fave psych-influenced acts, so if you've been paying any attention at all, you'll probably already know what to look forward to [...]

J. Michelle Martin-Coyne So what are you doing June 16? Are you one of those so conditioned by years of Toronto Radiohead shows selling out in a heartbeat that you tripped over yourself getting tickets for their Downsview gig as soon as they went on sale, even though the new venue was over twice the size of the Amphitheatre and general admission? Or are you one of those conscious of the fact that this is a King Of Limbs tour and realistically speaking, they probably won't be playing the stuff [...]

It's not very often anymore I really love something, something that I can listen to over and over again, the whole album through. Bands seem to have one really great song I can't get enough of and the rest of the album pales in comparison. But Gap Dream 's self-titled starts strong and finishes just as spirited. With the right amount of glimmer and a touch of well-placed grime, it's just the surf-garage sound to get you into summer. I think I speak on behalf of the whole WTD gang when I say this shit is awesome. [...]

We haven't had more than seven days that've dropped below freezing, but it is still technically winter. I keep hoping we'll get one snowstorm before it's over. Maybe. Here for you, there's two bands from Finland, four from Australia, Dreams and Dreems, Cats and Cates, guitars and synths. One Dinowalrus. I think this will be the last Wintry Mix of 2012. But look for Spring Fever in April. DOWNLOAD WINTRY MIX 2.22.2012 Tracklist: 1. Eux Autres - Right [...]

Gap Dream is a new band from Cleveland, OH (apparently Cleveland is a hot bed for indie rock, who knew). Lo-fi indie rock appears to be this band's genre. 58th St. Fingers has a cool vibe to it, starting from the opening of the song, which has a nice little guitar riff going on. Check out more of the band's album here at their bandcamp page. Take a listen to this song below:
