Reggie Watts I was lucky enough to see the Renaissance man himself Reggie Watts completely blow everyone's mind out of their skulls at the Mezzanine during the best comedy festival of all time, SF Sketchfest. This paired with the adorable and hilarious Garfunkel & Oates made it one of the finer performances of the festival. Some mp3s provided at the bottom of this post: Garfunkel & Oates Garfunkel & Oates Garfunkel & Oates [...]

2011 New York Comedy Festival Hey folks, like I mentioned the other day, the New York Comedy Festival is coming to town Nov 9-13 and though the Aug 15 ticket on sale date had been announced, no lineup or schedule had been posted as of Sunday night. Well, that's all changed as of today ( Aug 10 ) and the 2011 lineup is now up at NYComedyFestival.com . Tickets are also on Citi Private Pass pre-sale as of today, Wednesday, August 10 . [...]

The ladies are back with their new single and video just in time for your favorite stoner's favorite day of the year. Kate "Oates" Micucci is fast becoming one of my favoritest entertainers. She's kind of adorable. Sometimes I'd like to miniaturize her and put her in my pocket for when I'm feeling depressed. [via punchline ]
Yeah yeah I know we're late on this article but I figured this event deserves some more attention. If you haven't been paying attention last weekend, SF Sketchfest kicked off all across this great city, showcasing the many talents in the world of performance comedy. During Saturday's Invite Them Up at Cobb's Comedy Club, I was lucky enough to catch New Pornographer A.C. Newman perform Use It and well as a surprise guest duet with Margaret Cho to sing Your Dick (originally with Ben Lee). Other music guests that you may [...]
Right, well, it's December the 4th so high time to crack open the Christmas songs I reckon. Thanks once again are due to Spike, this time for putting me onto today's funny folkers Garfunkel & Oates - a sort of cynical, clued-up female American version of Flight of the Conchords. The best compliment I can pay G&O is that their songs don't suffer one bit in comparison with their more famous folking comedy forebears. Have a listen to the Christmas-present-woe-inspired Present Face and the wonderfully sardonic Year End Letter and see what you think. [...]

This weekend at bumbershoot between concerts I decided to check out the taping of the Chris Hardwick Podcast. He's a comedian you can follow @nerdist and nerdist.com. He brought out David O'Doherty , Doug Benson , and Garfunkel and Oates to help entertain and fill the hour. I spend so much time looking/listening to music I never really get a chance to explore comedy , it was a good change of pace. Ironic that both David O'Doherty and Garfunkel and Oates are musical comedy acts? [...]
Once again, blogging has fallen by the wayside as I've recently found myself spending unhealthy amounts of time in the wide world of Red Dead Redemption while also plowing my way through the third part of Stieg Larsson's The Girl Who Blah Blah Blah trilogy (this time she kicked the hornet's nest!). The continued DMCA crackdown and migration of mp3 bloggers off of Blogger also does little to muster my waning enthusiasm. Anyway, here's a grab bag of covers that have caught my attention recently. The Boss covering Bryan Adams? Kenny Loggins covering [...]

Photography by Tsuru TSURUFOTO on Etsy ! Vote for me (via lots of stars) here Baby & I took the day off to enjoy a wonderful 4 day "stay-cation" at home as we also have Dr. Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard Day off as well. I actually was able to, not only sleep soundly last night, but sleep IN, all the way to 8am (a rarity for me). Great way to start off a mini-vacay, eh? Well, being as that we are not in our [...]
Garfunkel & Oates - F*ck You More Garfunkel & Oates: Worst Song Medley I Would Never (Have Sex With You)
While perusing the internets for ukulele stuff (as I have just gotten my very own ukulele) , I stumbled across this ADORABLE video:That's Kate Micucci, actress/comedian/musician, the "Oates" of an amazing duo called Garfunkel and Oates. Actress Riki Lindhome is the "Garfunkel" (those of you who watch Big Bang Theory may recognize her), and together these two create wonderfully quirky and
Garfunkel and Oates is the musical project of b-list comedic/extra actresses Riki Lindhome and Kate Micucci. Now I'm not making a case for their musical merit, more simply the super cuteness of the two. You've probably seen both in many of your favorite sitcoms in various bit parts, but most recently Kate Micucci has been cast as the ukulele-playing "Stephanie Gooch" on Scrubs as Ted the lawyer's love interest. Kate Micucci [...]
