The Minneapolis City Pages reports that Bon Iver's Justin Vernon has formed a new band with the folksy Minneapolis indie-rapper Astronautilis and that the two holed up to start recording a new album this weekend. Sometime ago I posted a short blurb introducing Poliça and speculating that they will "make great strides this new year." I'd like to retract that statement and offer a new one: Poliça will (maybe) be big. I heard this song on the radio this day and thought it sounded good enough on the crappy little thing to warrant Googling. Christ, was I right! It's by Poliça, a relatively new band from Minneapolis who's debut album Give You The Ghost is just about to come out in the States. It's a four piece with a pedigree, featuring Gayngs frontman Ryan Olson as well as Marijuana Deathsquads' drummer Ben Ivascu.
