New Orleans-based duo Generationals play stupidly satisfying lo-fi pop. Fuzzed out guitars blend with electronic beats creating a soundtrack that's perfect for wasting time. Their single, "Put A Light On" especially stands out with its addictive synthy, xylophone hook. The style reminds me a bit of Phoenix and it makes me want to go for a bike ride in the park, and say "hey" to Spring. Generationals' third album, Heza , is out now. Go on and add more xylophone to your life.

Although the release of Heza is somewhat old news, having dropped at the beginning of April, it is an exciting happening for anyone who enjoys upbeat, well composed, and professionally constructed music. Heza is not as much as a force to be reckoned with as much as an old friend. The music from the duo is inviting and very groovy.
