You wind up # 16 on some doofus blog's year's best list. This is the skinny tie hearbeat perfected by the likes of 20/20, Richard X. Heyman and The Knack -with a jittery, Red Bull buzz upping the ante. Using the time honored trick of delivering bad news and bad breaks with a cotton candy coating, Leaving Atlanta is the missing link for anyone who pines for Poptopia and swallows Yellow Pills [...]

To avoid the list just being a mass of Ty Segall albums Twins (a personal fave of the bunch) takes the place on the list but the other two would have easily made the list, especially the collab with White Fence which got plenty of play around here as well. Some really great releases this year and a banner year for both Drag City and Sacred Bones with some heavy inclusions in our list. [...]

We here at ATH worked really hard to fit in the tastes of the four of us, and when we decided upon our Top 50, it really boied down to simple math. What albums did we love when they came out? Do we still enjoy spinning those records months later? If they're in the Top 50, then the asnwer is probably yes. I mean, our Top 2 records came out in January, and still play a vital part [...]

I was on emusic rounding out my collection with Elvis Costello's Blood and Chocolate. To the right was an article titled, Who Is Gentleman Jesse? I figured through the wonders of technology that there might be a connection between Elvis and Jesse. Turns out that those smart bastards at emusic knew what they were doing. I'll put it even simpler - if you were a fan of such classic albums as [...]
