Thanks to everyone who came to 285 Kent last night for our party with Domino/Ribbon Music, and Todd P, and the Software label. Animal Collective puts together a 4 track cassette mixtape for Keep Shoe Company . The mixtape contains four unreleased solo tracks from each member of the group; Geologist, Avey Tare, Deakin, and Panda Bear. Avey Tare's, 'Call Home (Buy Grapes)', drives modulating banjo sounding melodies and distorted vocals into something that would only be produced by Avey and only Avey. Animal Collective made a new video for "Guy's Eyes", an mp3 off their hit 2k9 album Merriweather Post Pavillion. I'm not sure exactly why they made this video. Their album came out in like January of 2k9... Seems like maybe they are just trying to get another sales bump.
