Fear not the fixation on two robots and their overemphasized record, for DJ DLG is back to follow-up last month's “The One” with another boundary-breaking installment of disco-tinted electro house. The warped mechanical stylings of “Get Down” act as the perfect digression to the genres overextended comfort zone, as well as the blatant vintage appeal that DLG consistently brings to the equation. With the Lazor Disco Mix adding uplifting instrumental values to the equation, DJ DLG asserts himself as one of the more understated breakthroughs in American dance music. Out now on Beatport . [...]
No nonsense house music from the cream of British club land? It could only have ever been My Digital Enemy and Hoxton Whores. United for the first time for Roger Sanchez’s Stealth Records imprint, “Get Down” rolls with the grooves and celebrates some of the genres more timeless melodic hallmarks. With their Zulu Records imprint leaping from strength to strength and a debut compilation for Hotfingers enroute, My Digital Enemy return to the label in top form with a little help from two artists who have more than earned their keep on the European circuit. It's been a while since Lamet has danced vigorously on our clouds over here at Aerial Noise - and by the sounds of 'Aquatic' and 'Good Music' - Lamet has opened up two parallel portals that are intertwined with 80's apparitions and futuristic 2032 spectrums. 'Nice' should be transformed to 'exquisite' and 'Still Chemical' and [...]
It’s been a while since Lamet has danced vigorously on our clouds over here at Aerial Noise - and by the sounds of ‘Aquatic’ and ‘Good Music’ - Lamet has opened up two parallel portals that are intertwined with 80’s apparitions and futuristic 2032 spectrums. ‘Nice’ should be transformed to ‘exquisite’ and ‘Still Chemical’ and Lovna & Lamet’s ‘Here We Go’ gets extremely traditional with several aurally-luscious breaklines. ‘Get Down,’ ‘Apache’ and Lamet’s remix of Gazella & Kiki Twins ‘Fascinating Mystery’ are three sublime pieces of enchanting electric-funk of the highest order. Cherry-glistened over by a [...]

The Varsity is an indie pop band from Cambridge in England. In March 2012 Connor Morris (vocals), Nigel (Vocals), Oscar Corney (Guitar), Matt Barkway (Bass) and Sean Clayton (Drums) got together with the aim to raise a smile and a dance... The Varsity ... Success I would say.... Well that would make for a brief review. Having made a sharp start, including the release of a debut five track Get Down, [...]
After making her return in December with her "Spare Parts" mixtape (which is available for free download here !) and new single "Get Down" produced by Show N Prove (Wretch 32, Maxsta, Benny Banks, Rizzle Kicks), our favorite new rapper Amplify Dot has teamed up with veteran MC Ghetts and Maxsta for the remix of "Get Down." She felt it was important to give something back to the supporters who made the "Spare Parts" mixtape such a success and what a better way to do it? She packs a [...]

Everyone's really stoked on Kendrick Lamar today, but P.O.S' We Don't Even Live Here hit stores today too. Above is the new video to single "Get Down" featuring fellow DOOMTREE'er Mike Mictlan. Bad news - P.O.S. recently had to cancel his fall tour because he needs a new kidney! But the homey is gonna get a brand new kidney and keep on keeping on. Watch a message from Stef below and donate to the cause here . We Don't Even Live Here is out now via [...]
After the rather sobering news that P.O.S. dropped on all of us on Friday, today Stef and the rest of his Doomtree and Rhymesayers cohorts are in an understandably good mood, as We Don't Even Live Her
We were just as gutted as you all when P.O.S announced last week that he had to cancel his upcoming tour due to an emergency kidney transplant. Although it will be some time until we get to see Stefon Alexander live and in person, no medical complication could stop his fourth LP, We Don't Even Live Here , from coming out today. To celebrate the album's release, Alexander has released a video for the album's third single, "Get Down," which features a guest verse from fellow Doomtree collaborator, Mike Mictlan. Check [...]

Before the imminent release of his new album, P.O.S. dropped another track off his fourth solo album, We Don't Even Live Here , due for release tomorrow (October 23rd). We've already heard "Bumper" and "Fuck Your Stuff" , and now we've got his latest, "Get Down" , featuring Doomtree 's Mike Mictlan. The new album, to be released via Rhymesayers Entertainment, boasts guests including members of Gayngs , Doomtree , Boys Noize , and even guest vocals from Bon Iver 's very own Justin [...]
The new tracks for the upcoming P.O.S album We Don't Even Live Here have production that feels startlingly original and could hold their own as purely electronic songs. The beats thus far have been the work of Doomtree producer Lazerbeak who showed just how talented he is at beat making on the Doomtree album, No Kings . On "Get Down" he delivers an infectious glitched out synth hook that gives the impression that the whole song could just break down at any moment. Which given the subject matter of the songs released breathes extra life into anarchist [...]

The latest offering from one of our favourite duo’s, Groove Armada , has us bouncing about today. It’s got the distinct GA feel; right from the opening the synths that sound like they’re straight from Get Down and the vocals just scream Superstylin’ . There also feels like there is a Basement Jaxx influence there, particularly with the “yeah yeah” vocals which would sit nicely in Jump n Shout . A pretty banging record, but perhaps too much [...]

With Future right around the corner, Chris Brown is dropping another track that didn't make the cut. Get Down features T-Pain and B.O.B . CB always drops the right tracks and this one is no different. Get Down has that club banger feel to it which is sure to get heavy spins where it travels too. Check it out below.
