“You are the music while the music lasts.” -T.S. Eliot Bob Dylan – “Scarlet Town” Both teaser tracks for Bob Dylan’ s upcoming LP Tempest (out September 10th via Columbia) have come from the Cinemax series Strike Back (of all the shows out there, why is an obscure Cinemax original series pimping the legendary Bob Dylan?). The singer-songwriter previewed a new one, “Scarlet Town”, during the show's series premiere, and te 60-second snippet provides a snapshot of what we can expect from the full track: [...]

I still have an iPod, which I'm told is an archaic piece of equipment. On it is a lone song by Ghetto Cross entitled, "Dog Years", which came out in 2008. Fuck, my iPod is ancient. Many times I've looked at the lone Ghetto Cross song and considered removing it in order to create space for new music, but with each listen to the boozy, fragmented boos and scratches of "Dog Years" I held out hope that the project between Bradford Cox and Cole Alexander would surface unde...

Bradford Cox and Cole Alexander have fired up their Ghetto Cross project again with the release of a new tune entitled Still. According to Cox the track "is about the relationship that develops between two young boys, one of whom is autistic and cannot talk and the other who is an outcast and beaten by his emotionally abusive father." What's not to love? Give it a whirl. Ghetto Cross; Still

To start, the pair has released a new track called "Still", which features Ghetto Cross' new expanded lineup of Cox, Alexander, bassist Asha Lakra, and drummer Frankie Broyles. Cox says the track "is about the relationship that develops between two young boys, one of whom is autistic and cannot talk, and the other who is an outcast and beaten by his [...]

Yelp! Yelp! Holler! Waaaaaaah! Thanks Lil Wayne and ODB! There's not much else to say other than that title. The Atlanta boys took their want for keeping busy and got together this past Saturday (how fucking cool is it about the turnaround time?) and banged out material for a 7" that the two of them have been wanting to create for years now. Here's one of the tracks, called "Dog Years". Destroy. (mp3) Ghetto Cross - Dog Years Godspeed!
