John Foxx & The Maths se encargó de remezclar " Changelings ", con la voz del mismo Foxx. Aquí se las dejamos:

One day I say super-significant things, and speak surely of potential holidays, meeting friends, Valentine's Day, plans. Then another day, soon after, I feel I'd rather be alone, that I'm not as besotted as I should be, that I'm not sure at all. Why? I don't know. The answer is impenetrable: a language I don't speak, a key under a too-heavy rock. The answer is the core of these shadowy, compelling songs by rising London stars Ghost Eyes . All I know is how stupidly sorry I am for the pain caused. They Left by [...]

The ultimate key to an artist's initial success, I feel is mystique. A guise which is perfectly planted so that intrigue is built and engulfs them like a veil when eventually it comes to a thirst quenching head. When second, third and (hopefully) more releases come do we then turn our backs because the anticipation is no more? This next band are all about the mystery with Myspace profile pictures of characterless female body parts and videos with moody enigmatic types giving us all but a glimpse of possible band members. They are [...]
I'll be completely frank - I've never been a huge fan of hip-hop. I don't know why, just can't get myself into it. Despite so, the act that I'm going to introduce to you have quite a heavy hip-hop-influenced sound. A trio from London, Ghost Eyes released their debut single not long ago, called 'Phantom Mountain'. Interestingly, the band have included vocals from an African children choir and also sampled blues guitar. It also has a very obscure video, featuring three dancers in a dark room. The video gives a somewhat eerie [...]

Editor's note: The press restrictions at Underage Festival disallowed anyone over the age of 17 to enter the festival grounds. Even members of the press. So it's a good twist of fate that TGTF just happens to have a writer young enough who could cover the event for us. Take it away, Coco! Held exclusively for youth, Underage Festival took place at Victoria Park this year like it has since it began in 2007. The day before the festival, it was raining in London. I was really worried [...]

Ghost Eyes From: London, United Kingdom I can't believe it's been almost two weeks since I last posted on a ghost related artist. Is the stream is beginning to dry up? Is the fashion for including the word ghost in your name waning? Whatever the reason this weeks' ghost related artist is London's remixers for hire Ghost Eyes with their out of body mix of itchy, glitchy electronica, found sounds and haunting vocals. It's trip hop with the emphasis on the trip. [...]

another day, another furiously exciting release from the cascine family. this time it comes in the form of a jensen sportag remix of memory tapes ' new single 'wait in the dark'. here, the nashville duo do a great job of planting (at least one of) 'wait in the dark's' feet firmly on the dancefloor with some smoky keys, slinky guitar glissando's and a driving 4/4 backbone. really, really nice: Memory Tapes - Wait In The Dark (Jensen Sportag Remix) 'wait in the dark' is the debut [...]

[RSS Readers: See post to listen to audio] If you love dark pop and want a mature album then September you'll have the strongest record in the pack from HTRK that we've heard in quite sometime. I mean matching this up with anything goth or dark that came out this winter or the trendy stuff that makes no sense as summer albums(new goth and summer doesn't mix well in my opinion) just can't hold up next to this. I heard Opera Multi Steel a few weeks ago at a Wierd label showcase [...]

London 3-piece Ghost Eyes today put out a new track that I'm sure you're bound to enjoy. Premiering on the stellar Double Denim blog this morning, "They Left" finds the band at their freakiest and funkiest. Loud, over-bearing synths blare against a deep-bass background and threatening vocals that sound phoned-in from some nearby prison. It's a compelling track from a band who have seemed to be continually on the rise. Next week they play the Double Denim 3D Night at the Shackwell Arms, which will also have another blog favourite, Dauwd, in the DJ booth. You should head down [...]
Ghost Eyes - Phantom Mountain// I'v been crushing on this song and weird ass dance video from Ghost Eyes since last Friday when our friends over at Culture Cowboy posted and confessed their obsession too. I think you will find it enjoyable as well. SoundCloud / Twitter -music from my ears. to yours. with love. jp

The wrangling, off-kilter slump of Ghost Eyes' Phantom Mountain demands fascination and craves reinterpretation. For the London trio emit a peculiar charm that disconcerts and draws vacillating ears into a maelstrom of deformed oriental samples and gurgling bottom-end synth hooks. The original version, accompanied by exorbitantly forbidding video, is such a bizarre concoction of sounds and styles it could haunt even the most pristine of dreams. Rather elusive Bristol-based electronica pioneer Minotaur Shock , aka David Edwards then got his hands on the track, contorting it further in the direction of [...]

If you are an avid TBE follower you may have noticed we have had some hackers on our site lately. So, we though we would let you know we've hired some robot ninjas to judo chop the shit out if them. Oh, you didn't hear? Malware Ninjas to the funking rescue! They have laser beams, flying baby space saucers (just like the movie Battery), boob guns, and really... anything your imaginative mind could ever muster. They are now here to stay and solve any issue TBE may ever encounter. For now, in this thing we call "the mean time", enjoy [...]
With Coachella done and over with, the music world as whole is left with this magical, intangible feeling. Like, this is the time for some great tunes to fill every molecule of air in the world and usher in some great times. With tons of potentially amazing albums to drop, a slew of festivals coming down the pipeline, and plenty more rays of sunshine beating down on the globe until the first leaves fall, now is the time to feel good. This week's Friday Mixtape features new music from Com Truise, Ice Age, Seapony, Bahamas, Jookabox, and more, plus loads [...]

The NBA playoffs continue are two things have become evident. The East will be represented by either Chicago or Miami and the West could be represented by new blood. The only commanding performance being put on in the West is by the Thunder. KD is a part of a two-man wrecking crew and his unselfish play is highly contagious making the Thunder one of the most exciting teams in the NBA. Their crowds are reminiscent of a high school playoff basketball game that has the entire crowd decked out in school pride. I can only hope that [...]

Here's a little Good Friday treat for all of you, the brilliant Ghost Eyes, who I featured last year kindly agreed to make a Mix for the blog's on/off Podcast series and here it is. A freakily good combination of slick Hip-Hop, electronica and a whole host of sweet remixes makes this cohesive entity pretty addictive, as well as being clear to see that these songs shed some light on what Ghost Eyes has derived his own sound from. Check it out below, stream, download, but whatever you do, don't listen to it alone on a long walk [...]

Friday Films is a weekly post with videos of new songs by London acts I like… Cymbals - Summer Escaping Have you ever watched a dog try to chase its own tail? The freaked-out , fucked-up bass cuts on this super new record from Cymbals kind of remind me of that. It's a game the dog can never win, but still he plays, endlessly. [There is a video that cannot be displayed in this feed. Visit the blog entry to see the video.] Fujiya [...]

After kicking my mid-terms in the nuts, today is the last day of school before the start of reading week so I thought it would be nice to put together a few songs I have on constant rotation so you have some sweet music to accompany you with what ever your plans are for spring break. The songs I picked are not straight up party tracks they are more on the chill/ indie spectrum with some of them older and some new. Enjoy Dirty Gold - California Sunrise [...]

When we went to see Gold Panda at The Cut in Newcastle two weeks ago I was pretty taken aback by the whole evening. The venue was odd to start with. Odd in an intriguing and kind of good way. It is supposed to look like a dilapidated warehouse/falling apart apartment block. Which whilst it had its charms, like the strip lights in the ceiling and interspersed between half formed stairs coming through the ceiling, which looked great when dim and acts were playing. I didn't understand the tables submerged into the [...]
Last night, thanks to Ghost Eyes' generosity I was able to head down to Corsica Studios to catch their gig supporting Gold Panda, alongside Banjo Or Freakout . Shuffling into the venue, just round the corner from Elephant & Castle tube station, I realised how small and intimate it was, thus brilliant. I definitely think you should check out Corsica if you get the chance. First up, as mentioned, were the brilliant, previously featured , Ghost Eyes, playing their own glitchy, noise-filled electronica. I feel that I can now safely say there are [...]
