Great show last friday at The Columbia City Theater featuring Sera Cahoone. Ghost's I've met led by Indie folk artist Matt Watts, opened the night with some delicate and beautiful songs backed only by Faustine Hudson's unique and eclectic percussive sounds.(washboards ,floor tom, bird caller...ect) The set remained appropriately sparse and intimate. From what I've heard of Watts latest release Payphone Patience E.P, I'd say it's worth checking out. He's at the top of his game in this particular genre. yer bird records ist schon ein erstaunliches ding. das muschelt und werkelt so vor sich, hat die trefflichsten künstler unter vertrag und sieht dennoch von der sonne so wenig, wie ein unter der decke verstecktes kind, mitten in der nacht. übertrieben, jawolla. aber dennoch ärgerlich, wenn man den katalog betrachtet, dass mit hezekiah jones, the gunshy , blackbird harmony , we/or/me usw. acts vertreten sind, die allesamt mehr vorzutragen haben, als es in den medien relevante herrschaften tun. altes, leidiges thema. mit ghosts i've met wollen wir allen widrigkeiten zum trotz auf ein projekt des singer [...]
