Someone at the BET headquarters leaked the cypher rosters a few weeks ago and now we have the first of the series. This one features the Squarian, Top Dawg, Forte and some no-name who won a contest promoted by Sprite. Who spit the best verse? Jay-Rock gets my vote. Although the 2011 BET Hip-Hop Awards won't be airing until October 11th it didn't stop people from tweeting about it as it was being taped live today. Many surprises went down, but we all know why most of us really tune in and that is for the cyphers. Above is the first cypher of the night and I have to say Gilbere and XV really did their thing and the Sprite’s Hot 16 contest winner, Chris Sutton wasn't bad either.

The original version of this song isn't something that would have caught my eye, but with Asher and Bun on the track, I had to give this remix a spin. And I am glad I did, because this is an absolute banger. While the verses from all three MCs hold it down, it is the Raak production that blew me away.
