Another week gone by, and strangely enough, good music did not stop being made. While maybe at times I'm too busy to sit down and post, I still get a chance to have these sounds in my ears at most moments in a day. I'm really thankful for that. Too many people are making really good music to not have a life that lets you listen to it. So here I am, copping out once again, and posting up a big collection of some of my favorites from this week. From tasty electronic gems, to sweetly twisted R&B [...]

It makes us feel old and completely out-of-touch with what's "hip" that we've yet to completely wrap our brains around the somewhat stunning (at least, to us) fact that years-long mixtape rap sensation/ hot guest feature grab of the season 2 Chainz is also the one-time Disturbin' Tha Peace soldier formerly known as Titty Boi who was also one-half of the briefly popular duo Playaz Circle (most known for their still-hot 2007 trap banger "Duffle Bag Boy" ). What we definitely do know is that 2012 is shaping up to be [...]
As the rainy season began to subside, April came and went: ushering in the next few months of warmth, sunligh, and barbeque weather. The gloomy skies have been replaced with [...]
Man, a nice pair of jeans can do wonders for a woman... wonders . As men, we look at jeans like wrapping paper. The more eye-catching the gift wrap, the more eager we are to rip it open. There's absolutely no better feeling than getting a woman's jeans down to her ankles. It's like Christmas. Our eyes get big and we instantly become thankful for God's many blessings. "Levi's, Prada, Baby Phat / I love the, way you're, wearing that" -Ginuwine [...]
Ginuwine, Timbaland, and Missy Elliot created the radio hit "Get Involved" that has been replayed multiple times over the airwaves. Unfortunately, the general public is missing out on the fabulous remixes from Firebeatz, Yves V, and Wolfpack. This entire package is surprisingly good, so give it a chance when you have a few spare minutes (details below). Ginuwine feat. Timbaland & Missy Elliott - Get Involved (Firebeatz Remix) This Dutch duo has made some action packed remixes in the past, think of them like the new age Congorock. [...]
It is impossible for me to hear this song and not think of middle school. I'm immediately taken back. Ridiculous song and only made more ridiculous by this dubstep remix from Unlimited Aspect. Ginuwine you deviant, you… Click to Download - Pony - Ginuwine - Unlimited Aspect Remix

You may have heard Reilly Steel already as his exclusive bootlegs and remixes for label like Trouble&Bass and We Do It have been on rotation with many top djs and with our crew too. Within the ever-growing continuum of so-called "bass music," San Francisco-based DJ/Producer Reilly Steel is a breath of fresh air. Reacting against a lack of musicality in some forms of dance music but still committed to keeping his sound energetic, Steel incorporates such diverse influences as House, UK Garage, UK Funky, Dubstep, Footwork, R&B, and Gospel into genre-bending sets as full of energy as they [...]
NEW JACK DUBSTEP - This track was just frothing to be wobbed up. Glitched up dubstep wearing timbaland boots, a poorly fitting Avirex jacket and a wifebeater. It's all so 902s fuckin' money. Go grab the download while you're still cool.

The Valentine's Day Mixtape is a tradition as old as ATG itself. The first edition was only the 10th post ever here at ATG HQ, and it has taken many shapes in the six years since. The only constant has been a seemingly endless supply of bubbly indie-pop and sugary sweet folk, mixed with a heavy dose of pure sexual energy. This year's V-Day Mix has all the bases covered: let Bon Iver and Alexander do the crooning, Thao Nguyen & Coeur de Pirate can handle the innocent pop, and The Weeknd, Drake and Frank Ocean can handle the sex. [...]

It's the first Friday in February and I think we all know what that means: Valentine's Day is coming (or looming, depending on your stance). In the recent years, capitalism has really done a number on the holiday, leaving significant others with sweaty palms over gifts and dinner dates. This February, Indie Shuffle would like to tip our hats to the purest essence of the holiday: love, sweet love. Today, enjoy some old school jams just waiting to electrify your holiday. From D'Angelo to Clarence Carter, many different moods and tastes are represented - different strokes for different [...]

Last night I was lucky enough to see this duo named Beacon out of Brooklyn, NY open up for Tycho in Atlanta. I couldn't find much on these guys except that they have released an EP titled No Body. Beacon has got a pretty contemporary sound that I think is going to get pretty popular over the next 3 or so years. In the middle of their set Beacon played these amazing cover of the R&B classic, "So Anxious," from Ginuwine. I may be bias because during my junior high years I loved R&B and this song was a huge [...]
In just few days lovers all over the world will be celebrating Valentine's day with a romantic dinner, chocolate, flowers, jewelry and of course sweet sweet music that will end with love making. Which is the reason why promoters in England have put together an interesting lineup of singers for a unique concert that will [...] Ginuwine, SWV, Silk & Dru Hill To Perform In England is a post from: RnB Music Blog
Michael Francis definitely does a decent job at covering Ginuwine's classic seduction, "Pony," but I gotta give it to Cito On The Beat for being... on the beat. Cito takes this 902s classic and makes it up into today's electro-bass, dubstyle'd scene. Could definitely see some producer taking this to the next level dubstep, hit me up if you do ;) Michael Francis - Pony 2012 (Ginuwine Cover) Michael Francis Styles: R&B, Hip-Hop, Alternative Location: New Jersey [...]

Previously: The 50 Greatest Producers of All-Time #50-21 20. Mike Dean Kanye West might not have the best eye for fashion and we know his choice in artists is up for debate, but he's unimpeachable when it comes to cherry-picking talent to help him behind the boards. See his work with The Rza, No I.D., Jon Brion and maybe his best collaborator, Mike Dean. In many ways, Dean (along with fellow Rap-A-Lot in-studio wizard, [...]

Gerald Walker has been on the come up in past year or so and today, he dropped his latest mixtape, The Other Half of Letting Go, which is presented by Diamond Supply Co . Walker is a multi-talented artist and is not only a rapper but a great vocalist as well. With these attributes, and excellent production by well-known producers Cardo, Sledgren, and even Timbaland, he created a very dope tape with a wide range of music. He also added great visuals for one of the singles, "The Missing Piece." He can chop, [...]
![Active Child – Playing House (Ft. How To Dress Well) [Music Video + Mp3]](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/3729975_lg.jpg)
Off of his debut full-length CD, You Are All I See , "Playing House" by Los Angeles based musician Pat Grossi (aka Active Child ) represents a much-needed R&B revival in independent music. The How To Dress Well assisted track is a glimmer of hope in an indie music scene overwhelmingly dominated by an exceeding number of Grizzly Bear and Animal Collective copycats. We want that TLC and Ginuwine swagger back. Though this ain't Jodeci or Keith Sweat, this is a step in the right direction for the cats out there that were not fortunate enough [...]

We can get behind any producer celebrating the 10-year anniversary of a Ginuwine track. Toronto's Vlsonn (Vlad Sonn) gives the 2001 Ginuwine classic "Differences" the 808 treatment, keeping the BPM right where it belongs—slow—and unleashing a heatwave of mechanical steam blasts from under satin sheets. Vlsonn lays down a whisper soft tone, through which he laces sub-bass pit-er-pat with the occasional synth sparkle. If you're otherwise unfamiliar with Vlsonn's production work, think deep, sexy R&B-fused beats with definite dark edges, and check his SoundCloud [...]
Here's how the Pop Massacre concept works. The folks at Friends of Friends Music gather classic pop tracks from the past and present and then send them to some of their favorite electronic/left-field hip-hop producers. The resulting effort is a sprawling mindfuck of a remix project that really only can be described as a Pop Massacre . Cats like Jonwayne , Mexicans with Guns , Shlohmo , Radius , and Salva have gotten their mitts on joints by the likes of Ginuwine, Christina Aguilera, Sisqo, and the [...]
