"Inner Visions," the latest cut from his forthcoming High on a Weekday LP, has a nice Boomerang Soundtrack-era R&B underbelly, bent and warped around Gliss' wandering rhymes dissecting the state of the world circa 2013. Gliss' new album "Langsom Dans" is like the gift that keeps on giving — the more time you spend with it, with deeper you realize it is. The song "Blur" is a woozy, love-drunk meditation bathed in reverb and longing, and Dutch photographer and director Claudia Crobatia brings it to life with crisp, bright colors rather than (the predictable, one would think) hazy shadows. The trio — Victoria Cecilia, Martin Klingman and David Reiss — has made an album that blooms; pick your petal.
