The beauty of this festival is that you have the freedom to wander from venue to venue and catch brand new music. Some of them are literally next door to each other. Denver's Glowing House released their new album Days Run Out last night at Hi-Dive. Unfortunately, I was unable to attend the release last night but I have had the opportunity to see Glowing House previously and that's part of the reason why I wanted to feature the lead single of the new album. Glowing House is a new folk band and Taming Lions is in that new folk vein like Mumford and Sons, The Head and the Heart, or Denver's The Lumineers. FaceMan shows are always something of an extravaganza, and this night was no exception. Glowing House caught my ear recently opening for Ha Ha Tonka . I'm always on the lookout for great Denver bands (their proximity allows me to see them often!). Like Lazarus, the Brothers Meese have risen from the ashes to create new group, the Centennial . The Centennial welcomes Patrick Meese's wife, Tiffany, to round out the trio. The male/female harmonies aesthetic brings a welcomed change to a different direction being carved out by the new outfit.
