Craft Spells is the brainchild of 22 year-old songwriter Justin Vallesteros, a bedroom DIY project that has flourished into what many call one of the better debuts of 2011 with the album, Idle Labor . This is dreamy, nostalgic 80s pop at its best and one of the many great bands currently on the stable of the frighteningly good Captured Tracks label based out of Brooklyn. After previously destroying their Bates Motel-stylized room with " Compared to What " and " Poison City ," the hardcore super group took to "Crawl" in an attempt to destroy the building with music. They also shoot the shit for about 40 seconds prior to their performance, which shows how they're, you know, laid-back dudes who also happen to beat the shit out of their instruments, amps, and microphones.
