Unless you're living on some stranded island and don't have access to the Internet or even basic cable (watch TVOTR on Jay Leno), then you know that TV on the Radio are pretty awesome. Listen to their sounds on Myspace: http://www.myspace.com/tvotr They're also pretty artistic if you couldn't tell. And not just with the musical instruments but [...]
Dancing Choose by TV On The Radio off Dear Science . Look for it . I've been listening to this record on my bike ride to and from work these days. Other than Golden Age (which I think is a killer tune, a great lead off and a pretty interesting video ), Dancing Choose is my dark horse winner for future stand-out song off the album. There's something about it I can't quite put my finger on. Put this on at a party? You [...]
Hey guys, sorry there wasn't a mixtape last week, but I ended up so damn sick that I missed two days of work and thought I was losing a lung. No, it wasn't pneumonia again (that would have been the third time) but it was still a pretty crappy case of sinusitis and bronchitis. That being said, I owe you a good one, something that I am sure that I would want to listen to, so here's what I've gotten the last two weeks. There are 11 awesome tracks rolled into one delicious mixtape package. [...]
TV On The Radio have released the music video for their track ' Golden Age ' off of their ' Dear Science ' album due out 9/23 via Interscope.

J.J. Burnel, "Euroman" ( YSI link ) Kas Product, "So Young But So Cold" ( YSI link ) I believe that Volga Select and Tigersushi presented this CD, So Young But So Cold: French Underground Music 1979-1982 , solely for me. First, the title is B-A-N-A-N-A-S. It's not just that the title, minus the French underground part, is going to be the name of Chapter 7 of my autobiography, chronicling my 20-28 years. [Incidentally, Chapter 8 is called The Best of Times and chronicles my marriage to Christy Marks, [...]
"Golden Age" is the first single and video from TV on the Radio's latest album Dear Science , due September 22nd on Interscope. Various tracks from the album are now streaming here . On first listen I'm really digging it. Check out the brand new video via Spinner .

Sorry it's been slow around here the last couple of days. The remnants of Hurricane Ike hit Louisville on Sunday with 70 mph winds, knocking out power in most of the city. They're saying it's going to be up to two weeks before the entire city is back on, but I'm blogging from the coffee shop next to my house before I hop on a plane to Cali tomorrow. I gotta get outta here soon. Plus, STREET SCENE IS THIS WEEKEND. Thank god there's a light at the end of this dark, dark tunnel. The whole vibe has been very [...]
Two videos in a row? What what? Yeah, whatever. TV On The Radio takes precedent over my "spread the wealth" mentality. The video for "Golden Age" has monks, dancing cops, human heads turning into animals heads, Care Bear stuff, and a weird Power Rangers/Voltron/Captain Planet thing. So I obviously had to post it. "Golden Age" is from TV On The Radio's forthcoming Dear Science due out September 23rd. And if you've already seen the video, watch it again.

TV On The Radio debuted a new track from their new album Dear Science yesterday and if you're a daily reader of the more popular music blogs, you can tell that "Golden Age" is already starting to set the internets on fire and rightfully so. The new, upbeat track features a catchy and funky TV On The Radio, something we haven't really heard from the group before, and an incredibly fitting step in the right direction stylistically. "Golden Age" features an uptempo, funky bassline that conjures up a mental image of Dave Sitek hanging out [...]

Non hanno perso tempo i Tv On The Radio .

The first track from TV On The Radio 's forthcoming album, Dear Science , has hit the internet. Give it a listen below. It's the poppiest thing from TVOTR yet, but still with their trademark layered vocals and excellent production. I've listened to it a couple of times at this stage, and am very impressed. There seems like enough in the song to keep you hearing new things for ages, but still catchy enough that it's instantly likeable. TV on the Radio- Golden Age
EXCLUSIVE CRYSTAL CASTLES REMIX Given that Crystal Castles seems to be partaking in a never-ending tour around the world, one might think it hard to bang out new material in the meantime. Not so according to Andy of Lies Records who just shot us over this exclusive remix by Crystal Castles' Ethan Kath, the first of its kind from the CC spinster in over 15 months. The song is a reworking of the White Lies ' single "Death" and it captures all that [...]

The Golden Age Another band hitting the international touring circuit is The Golden Age . Currently in the United States, their song Dirty Bird has an easy groove perfect for an afternoon drive through the city. Formed in 2004, they played their first gig ever with the ‘now’ band Youth Group, and went on to play Homebake by the end of year by way of winning the Hopetoun Hotel Incentive competition, a yearly competition whose prize is to open the Hopetoun stage at Homebake. When I saw these guys at the Annandale Hotel [...]
