Gonjasufi Button Factory show time and price change

There's been a couple of changes to the details of this Thursday's Gonjasufi gig in Dublin, with the show rearranged to accommodate Ireland's Euro 2012 clash with Spain. The event will now be 10pm till late, and Gonjasufi will be on stage around 11pm. Melodica Death Ship are still playing support, and Mark Murphy of Choice Cuts will be DJing. Promoters U:Mack have dropped the door price to €10 to make up for any inconvenience. Those who already have tickets will receive refunds of €4, or if the time change makes it impossible to attend, a full refund.

While we usually try our best to provide background information on the music we post on a daily basis, I am truly struggle with "Lawnmower Man". Although, we do know now that Humansuit is the collaborative effort between Isaiah Toothtaker and Mestizo, we don't quite know how they linked up with Gonjasufi and Flying Lotus . The final product is beautiful, to say the least. Complete with hollowing vocals from Gonjasufi and intense percussion and synthesizers from Flying Lotus, this sure is an audible treat worth feasting on.

This new Humansuit track is very interesting. While being unmistakably produced by Flying Locust, this short track doesn't sound much like anything I've listened to lately. The drums sound intentionally synthetic, with Gonjasufi's soulful and tattered vocal over the top. While perhaps sounding a little sparse, I found myself returning to this song. It'll be interesting to see what this project does next. / via /
