I'm set to interview Gonjasufi next week, so I'll momentarily defer to Nate Patrin's excellent Best New Music review of A Sufi and a Killer . This post mainly exists to point out that Bleep is offering a free download of "Ancestors" and "Holidays," available from now until Sunday. Scooping the entire album is highly advised but considering the source, his name, and the collaborations with Flying Lotus and Gaslamp, the recommendation might as well be on general principle. Gonjasufi is pretty awesome. Honestly, I don't know much beyond the two facts that 1) I love his track "Ancestors", gorgeous! And 2) This new video for "DedNd" is pretty killer. "Enter Gonjasufi... a mystical individual caught between the Mojave desert, the LA streets and somewhere more cosmic. His soul-baring vocals are something to behold - described by friend and collaborator Flying Lotus as "Timeless Incredible Filth". -Warp Records
