Good Old War just released a video for the song "Calling Me Names" from their forthcoming album that you can watch below. Theie new album, Come Back As Rain is out on March 6th, and the band play Union Transfer on Friday, April 27th.

Sometimes the simplest things make for the best music videos. The ones that stick with me are the videos that situate us in the everyday lives of the subject. Tour footage? "If it ain't broken, don't fix it." If Good Old War has a band mantra, we imagine it goes something like that. Their new single, "Calling Me Names", premieres on MTVu and gives listeners exactly what they'd expect from the indie-acoustic trio: soft harmonies, catchy melodies and heartfelt lyrics. The video is shot as if we're sitting in the car with them for most of the ride. I love the grain-y and dull shots used to capture the vibe of times, decades ago.

Good Old War debuted their video for "Calling Me Names" today. The clip features some vintagely faded cinematography of the band taking a feel-good joyride in an old station wagon for the majority of the video, it's warm, simple, and sunny much like the song it represents. The song is from the band's new Come Back As Rain full-length due out March 6th

The members of Good Old War have just announced the release date for the band's new album, Come Back As Rain , as well as a series of tour dates that will find the band on its first national headlining tour in two years. The new album will come out on March 6th via Sargent House; the tour will kick off in Knoxville on March 8th and wrap up with a homecoming show at Union Transfer on April 27th. A touch of nostalgia hits me when I listen to Good Old War . Back in the days of emo and angst, I used to spin Days Away records quite frequently. I am no longer in high school and Days Away no longer exist, replaced in large part by Good Old War (two of the three founders played in Days Away).
