Oh, this song, from the lead singer of Canada's The Tragically Hip: the piano jangles and hits; the drums run slow but urgent; the vocals wistfully recall some terrible story about lost vampire love (I think). The parts all come together so simply and wonderfully here...this is about the only Tragically Hip-related song that I ever got into, but I love it to pieces, this perfect little emotional ballad with just enough quirkiness to keep it interesting.
