Thirty years after Vince Clarke quit Depeche Mode, he's working again with Martin Gore : Gore explained that Clarke emailed him about the idea "out of the blue". I've been following Ipecac Records pretty much since its inception twelve years ago. This is the third release they've put out by German band Bohren & der Club of Gore. For some reason, I never really looked into this band. But after hearing Beileid , I really should go through their back-catalog. Bohren & der Club of Gore is a slow, dark, ambient jazz band that (although not heavy) has some doom metal qualities about it. It's very high hat and saxaphone driven.
