Last December, we featured the Ant Giant Ant EP from Grass House . They're back with three new singles on Bandcamp . The mock-rocker, A Cradle, A Short Breath was released in June. Last month, the UK outfit released Faun b/w The Breeze . Needless to say, Grass House keeps it delightfully morose, and draws comparisons to Wall -era Pink Floyd and folktronica stalwarts, Tunng. Grass House were one of our favourite new discoveries of 2010, their combination of brooding indie rock with folk tinged gothic undertones created a sound that was both instantly recognisable and pleasingly original. Situated just north of the Midlands, Sheffield has produced some fine musicians over the years. From London act Grass House 's forthcoming third EP, this manly number is just what's required on a sundrunk Sunday evening: it's peaceful, prosaic and pretty. The genre is hard to identify, but I want to call it almost a lounge-bar rock; there's something blurry and dim-lights about the production, and I wouldn't mind listening with a whiskey-on-the-rocks, tapping the glass as I sleepily let the song sweep me along to wherever it is we're going.
