This dude is the herpes of music. Once you think it's gone, it comes back. #herpes #flareup #pleasegoaway" Questo tipo è l'herpes della [...]

One to Watch by Chris Fullerton Chris Fullerton is a Music and Film writer. He lives in Austin, Texas. One of the most exciting bands I had the pleasure of seeing (twice) at SXSW was Jacksonville, Florida rock band, THE PINZ , who were in Austin to promote their latest EP, ANTI-COMPLACENCY LEAGUE. The band consists of brothers Walter Jerk (vocals/guitar) and Johnny Wyatt (bass/backing vocals) who started playing together about five years ago, and Walter’s [...]

Festival season is fast approaching and the picturesque images of rolling hills, covered in revellers swigging lukewarm cider move ever-closer. Rain or shine, a festival is an atmosphere unbeknownst, to anyone who hasn’t been a merrymaker at these events. People band together, the person in the tent next to you becomes your best mate and personal hygiene goes well and truly out of the window, to be forgotten until the pleasure of a shower on the Monday morning. No festival epitomises the festival spirit more than Reading and Leeds. [...]

Meet Gnarwolves , a trio of fun-loving skater punks from Cornwall. Now based in Brighton, Gnarwolves have breathed new life into pop-punk with their mish-mash brand of skate punk, punk rock, hardcore, and emo, minus the straightened hair and theatrics. Constantly playing shows, it is no surprise why the band has been taking the UK by storm - these guys are the real deal. Their music is emotive, melodic, bright, oozing with passion and so much fucking fun to listen to. Think Brand New (keep an ear out for those vocal harmonies) meets Dune Rats meets Dookie/Insomniac-era Green Day. [...]

Green Day , such crowd-pleasers when they visited Pomona in March , came back around for a good old-fashioned arena show on Thursday and again thrilled a full house. The punk-rock veterans played for 2 1/2 hours (counting encores) on Thursday at the Los Angeles Sports Arena, touched on songs from every one of their albums and even tossed in a metal-to-pop medley that included "Satisfaction," "Highway to Hell," "Hey Jude" (with full-on crowd participation and "California Here I Come." A 6-year-old got a chance to crowd-surf on a cross-generational night when fathers and sons and mothers and daughters [...]

If you're a music lover living in New York City, chances are that you've been to at least one show at Rockwood Music Hall in Lower East Side, Manhattan. Though the music venue has only been in existence for the past eight years, it seems as though it has already ...

Who knew that Green Day could sell out the Air Canada Centre in 2013? I didn't. Growing up listening to Dookie and first discovering the hidden track "All By Myself" was a rite of passage. It appears that this is still happening for 16-year-old girls in the suburbs and their parents (gotta have wheels) who turned out en masse on Thursday night to see the aging (yet ceaselessly energetic) pop punk rockers jam out for two and a half hours on a school night. As much as you [...]
