Greg Tropper is a throwback artist. Like those throwback jerseys the NFL is peddling, Greg Trooper's music is a mix of the classic sounds from the past and a modern sensibility. His mix of folk, blues, and soul make his music nearly unclassifiable. Greg's "new" record was recorded in 1995 and produced by Eric "Roscoe" Ambel. Greg Trooper is going to attempt one of these fan funded cd's. The general deal is that fans "invest" in the recording process and then reap the rewards once the disc is released (special signed copies, exclusive concerts). In the end it winds up as a glorified donation, but I can't think of many better places to donate to the arts than directly to the artists. This is new unreleased song that may appear on that new record. It continues to mine the soulful blues sound that Greg has been up to of late. [...]
