Raven Sings The Blues introduced me to Gross Relations last year, and though they've faded from my memory bank a bit, this reintroduction is as catchy a track as I've heard in months. I keep putting the RTSB site on play and then stopping in my tracks when "Cut The Final Scene" starts two-stepping out [...]
Brooklyn band Gross Relations have been lauded for their musical prowess on this blog many times. The band are about to head into the studio and begin recording their debut album. To stave off the withdrawal symptoms they have released a brand new song called 'Cut The Final Scene'. It retains their love for all things [...]

It's been a while since we've heard from Brooklyn's Gross Relations . We first posted them on the blog way back in April of 2011 and haven't heard anything from them until today! Apparently they've been busy working on their latest single and it marks the first time they've actually recorded in a studio. A pretty momentous occasion for a bedroom pop band. Called, "Cut The Final Scene," it continues the band's legacy of fizzy lo fi (albeit a bit more hi fi) pop that's irresistible while remaining lackadaisically good. [...]

Brooklyn's Gross Relations, who you might remember as having a great little EP out on RSTB Records last year, have thrown this gem of a tack our way. "Cut The Final Scene" is another slice of fuzz wrangled pop that skates through your speakers on a foam wave of keys and woodchipped guitar blasts. The band is in the process of putting together a full length for release sometime in 2012 so keep your ears perked for that. Download: [...]

Brooklyn quartet Gross Relations' super garage rock jams have already come in for plenty of praise on the blog. Now they are set to release their (proper) debut EP on the recently launched 'Raven Sings the Blues' label. From the opening riff of 'Blame The Records' things have been taken up a notch. The production improved and the sound pumped, they [...]
RSTB Records signees Gross Relations have worked up a video for the title track off of their Come Clean EP. The video is based on scrambled adult channels that were popular on pay per view in 80's and 90's. If your workplace skews puritanical this one's probably going to be a bit NSFW but you should check it out when you get home. The boys are also on tour this month so if they swing through your town, definitely go and check them out. Tour dates are below. Thu-Sep-15 Philadelphia, PA - [...]

When You Go Down You Don't Know Me ( previously on CWR0 One of my favorite music blogs, Raven Sings The Blues , has started its own label aptly called Raven Sings The Blues Records . The band's [...]

Blame The Records You Don't Know Me Two tracks from Brooklyn's Gross Relations catalog of 4 singles. 'Blame The Records' is a catchy garage track that introduces some nice organ, and 'You Don't Know Me' is the b-side off their first single that has been a staple around here that anyone who listens to the Chromewaves Radio stream would already know. Listen to all their singles at their Bandcamp where you can download singles 2-4 [...]

We first entered into Gross Relations back in November and have reencountered them via the ever bountiful Gimme Tinnitus. We chose our favorite from each of two tuneful two-song singles at the Brooklyn band's Bandcamp site, so pay them a visit for more if you like. You can find them here and here, along with access to two other tuneful two-song singles.&a mp;amp;amp;amp;amp
