It is Tranzformers second release as part of the Abolitionist Projects collective. The project features 10 tracks and guest appearances from Guilty Simpson, Marv Won, Thesaurus, Jonny Storm, Jamall Bufford, Intricate Dialect, Tenacity, Shi-Dog, Mr. Fernandez, and VinylDigger.

Check out the latest party video from LA's Cookbook (of LA Symphony) called the "The Party's Still Jumpin.'" The track, reminiscent of a mid nineties west coast hip-hop track, was featured on a SuperBowl commerical for Suzuki car company. You may recall some news floating around recently about members of Portishead working on a hip-hop album, well the result announced earlier in the week by Stonesthrow is Quakers ; "a hip-hop collective boasting 35 members". The 40 track album is set to be released on the 27th of March with abundant features from golden era names and newcomers alike. The track above does enough talking on it's own. The Grand Star Jazz Club two weeks ago turned out to be an all-out house party celebrating James Dewitt Yancey 's birthday. Fans from all over came through to show love and respect, donning the Dilla-esque t-shirts and getting down to their favorite songs produced by the musician. Quakers is a new super-group with a new album on the way via Stones Throw. At the core of Quakers is producers Fuzzface and 7-Stu-7 of Portishead as well as Australia's Katalyst. Portishead's Geoff Barrow has a new hip-hop project on Stones Throw called Quakers which features an insane 35 members and three main producers. Barrow as Fuzzface is one, 7-Stu-7 (Portishead's engineer and in-house producer ) and Katalyst ("one of the most respected producers in Australia" apparently) are the others. So far, the names of rappers involved include Stones Throw's Guilty Simpson, Aloe Blacc, MED, Jonwayne and Dave Dub along with The Pharcyde's Booty Brown, Dead Prez Prince Po and Phat Kat.
