Shontelle who was inspired by Red Rat's mega hit "Tight Up Skirt" and some of Beenie Man's spicy lyrics has cooked up a very island-inspired track called "Freaky" featuring Gyptian. Using her Barbadian accent, the diva uses countless patwa slangs to explain how she keeps the boys in her yard, she shared that they love [...] Shontelle 'Freaky' Feat. Gramophonedzie - Brazilian Give me the sun, give me warmth, give me freedom. Give me sand to fiddle with between my toes and a breeze to whip through my hair. Give me a multi-color pastel sunset with the person of my choice beside me. Give me love. Give me my favorite beer, and a double shot to top it off. Give me an open road to travel, windows down and music blasting, the only thoughts going through my head being positive ones because there is nothing negative in this current state. [...]

Los Rakas - Abrazame For the tone deaf out there who couldn't hear the similarity to Hold Yuh by Gyptian , this is a cover by a latino band called Los Rakas . The lush visuals are filmed in San Francisco, Panama and the video involves carnival dancers, house parties, beaches, parades and sunsets amongst other daily necesities. I know very little about these cool cats but if you head over to their Bandcamp or Website you'll probably leave a more knowledgeable person.

Meet Major Lazer. Don't be fooled, he isn't holding a gun, he just has a lazer for a right hand. But you have nothing to fear he is only a drawing, but the men behind him are quite real. Major Lazer is 1/2 Diplo and 1/2 Switch . I discovered Major Lazer threw my interest in Diplo, who is most definitely one of electronic music idols. You can read more about him in specific here . Diplo and Switch hooked up to form Major Lazer after working with M.I.A.. Their music takes on a bit of a tropical [...]

It's been a little while since we posted some reggae, but [in my opinion] there's no better music to help take your mind off the cold. As soon as I threw this on it had me reminiscing about the summer and warmer days, which is a nice feeling once in a while. Preview: Download : Gyptian - What A Woman ft. This first one is a little more clubby than wompy, but Wompzilla gave it the go ahead for #WompWompWednesday so it's all good. I mentioned in the last WWW that I saw Pretty Lights January 30th-well, Major Lazer opened up for them, and let me tell you, they melted my face off. First off, Diplo's productions skills are absurd. I don't think Switch was there, and if he was it speaks to my inebriation that I do not remember him being there, but it was unreal. They had a really great stage presence and everyone was really into [...]
