Murder by Death has one of the more unique sounds I've heard in a while. I had a chance to catch their show at Triple Rock Social Club a couple months back and I was thoroughly impressed. Langhorne Slim is one of my favorite people ever. I assume he is also one of yours. If not, he should be. Anyway, here is the first single from his new album is here. And it's great. The Ozark Mountains, and all its rivers and streams, are beyond the ideal setting for music played in real time. In real life. 10 miles from me one way there is a quaint little smattering of primitive cabins on the river. 10 miles the other way is the old, restored mill, with its own little happy gathering of dwellings.
