It's been a while since I've mentioned anything Swedish related here, a streak that ends right now as we delve back into the country that's provided us with a fair amount of sugar-filled pop (I typed poop first on accident...seems to happen often) goodness. Without further ado, I introduce the Stockholm duo called Hari and Aino . I found out about them through Swedesplease and Indie-MP3 , and I really don't know much else about them because their myspace page is devoid of any kind of information like that. That along with me not [...]

The band I'll be talking about today come from Sweden (surely that country has given us more than its fair share of fantastic music already?). Stockholm, to be precise. That's about all I know about them, to be honest! Well, that and the fact there are five members of the band - Andrea Dahlkild, Gunnar Jacobsson, Kristoffer Rengfors, Pontus Leander and Robert Klaesson. Hari and Aino have recently released a single containing three tracks on the excellent Cloudberry Records label. You can download the tracks from the Hari and Aino myspace page but CDs with artwork [...]
Image: Threadless Decided to compile a mix for The Sunday Shuffle right after my last post since I won't have internet access till Monday night. Hopefully this will tide all of you over until then, plus these are easy to make since the tracks are just randomly chosen. If everything goes as planned, this should post itself on it's own. Never tried it before, but hope you all enjoy and i'll see you next week! The Radio Dept. | "It's Personal" [...]

The track We Set Sail By The Way We F eel from the Green Concorde debut album Ten Cities has been remixed by EloPhonic . Somehow the music of this band always sounds absolutely fantastic when it is being remixed. My favorite (so far) among the mixes remains the fabulous version of This Time done by tWAMi , which has been featured in the blog several time before. Two more remixes for download can be found [...]

Hari and Aino are a wonderful indie pop band hailing from Gothenburg, Sweden. The band describe themselves as "a duo with five members". They have just released a new single on Cloudberry Records . The single contains three tracks packed with simple but delightful tunes with those girlie lead vocals I am a sucker for. I don't know much about the band because the info on them is sparse to say the least or in Swedish. However they are ones for fans of Camera Obscura or The Hermit Crabs. In fact they are a band [...]
Miracle Fortress Yesterday I happily happened across links to a bunch of songs I've been enjoying for a good while, so I would like to share them over the next few days. Some of these are a bit long in tooth, but I hope you won't mind. Swedes Please is quickly becoming one of my favorite blogs. I had no idea of their existance until my post on Detektivbyran was linked by them. I went there thinking, well if they like Detektivbyran as much as I do, then they're friends of mine. Little did I know I'd like all those Swedes' music so much. And, being out of ideas and all today, I figured I'd highlight some of my favorite Swedish bands from that blog as of late. It's a win-win situation really. You now know of a new, and great blog to read for the future, and you get to [...]

Oh man have I had some great indie pop up on Swedesplease this week (earlier post of Honeymoon Over! was best). Next up is the Stockholm duo called Hari and Aino . Strange band name for a couple of swedes who craft sugary, bass-heavy pop. Hari and Aino play twice in the next two months, first at an club night in Stockholm called Send In The Clowns and second at Emmaboda Festivalen . Check `em out! Seasons Your [...]
