I heard this song a few weeks ago on NPR's All Songs Considered and have been meaning to share it ever since. Harper Simon is the son of legend Paul Simon and his first wife, and he is releasing his self-titled debut album on October 13th. It's somewhat amusing to read the various writeups on Harper Simon . Just how long do you have to go before you get to the proverbial kicker -- "hey, this is Paul Simon's kid." There was something slightly familiar about Harper Simon 's voice when I gave his song "Shooting Star" a spin last night. The vocals in particular. You may or may not know this about me, but I hate labels. When I was younger I always felt like Blockbuster (are they still around?) should have killed the idea of putting movies out based on genre, and just put it alphabetical.
