Vibe-ing off this on a sunny Friday afternoon. Yessssss…

[RSS Readers: See post to listen to audio] I've interviewed Sam Grawe before , he's the perfect fit for ISO50 in my mind, his slow motion synth work as Hatchback meets the Editor In Chief of Dwell Magazine . ISO50 Just listened thru your new record Zeus & Apollo a third time, whats in the water in SF? you synth guys make it sound effortless, people don't see how much a handful of you well put together 30 year old men ( The Beat Broker [...]

The soundtrack to an infomercial pushing time shares on distant worlds and the narcotics needed to get you there. Hatchback string together a mix for the existential delights that await Deckard and Rachael once the lift doors close. A dance through a gouraud shaded vision of the future dreamt up in a prog haze by NASA's crack team of Balearic artisans. Of alternatively, we can just look to Hatchback's title: "red rainbows: poems by scientists" Tracklisting: rainflower - jade warrior format & journey north - oneohtrix point never ceres motion - [...]

Click image to download full album Song: Dark Captain Light Captain - "Dark Captain Light Captain - " What's so good? I tend to look for songs that create a unique, entrancing atmosphere, and Hatchback's remix of "Questions" from Dark Captain Light Captain pulls this off with flying colors. It's one of those tracks that makes me forget about all of the stressful events in my life and allows me to focus on beautiful things that make me feel [...]

9dw (Nine Days Wonder) formed during 1997 in Tokyo (Japan). 9dw possesses a very strong aura with their unique sound, a result from great musicianship, the use of vintage instruments and the like. The output must be heard, with a wide range and mixture of elements: fusion, funk, abstract, jazz, breakbeat, belearic, and I guess the list goes on. Really refreshing sounds and such great flavours. They have one self-titled album that was brought out during 2008 in Japan on the Catune label (later released in the US on Wax Poets). [...]

Bay Area musician Dan Judd aka Sorcerer is no cheap conjurer of tricks. The kid has a great sound ala Lindstrom and Prins Thomas or as he calls it "nu-balearic-cosmic-disco-slow -mo-awesome-house". He is also part of the equally great groups Hatchback and Windsurf . Check out some of his awesome music on Soundcloud. R&B Killa by sorcerermusic Aqua by Windsurf [...]

Sorcerer - Raydio (Play It) Hard Mix posted up a pretty savory mix last week called Fazed, Vol 1., hitting on some sounds I've recently been... (Visit my blog for more!)

Flynn's track from yesterday is uncomfortably resonant with my own worklife (metaphorically of course; my complaints are small relative to the world). My response is total escape—another one from team Windsurf . As much as my actual environs please me, it's a soft neon midnight dreamworld I imagine jogging through, as this song swirls through my head. I took it with me on a walk through a cold Lexington evening for a rare moment of solitude. And I had it going today when I bought my first new pair of running shoes in about a decade. [...]

Drink up that egg nog, get warm, and cozy up cause we have a special holiday smoothie comin' atcha live = Hatchback = an artist from San Fransico that without a doubt catches my attention. His tunes paint a pleasant picture by blending amazing progressive synthesizers with melodic percussion to bring us a lovely cinematic ambient/electro experience. Check it out for yourself, I think you will like: Closer To Forever - Hatchback White Diamond - Hatchback [highly HIGHLY recomended for the [...]

Great mini-mix from Milky Disco's Jon Tye. Keep an eye out for their new compilation out soon - sounds interesting. "There are tracks on the album that some people wouldn't consider 'disco' at all – but that's the point. When disco started, it was wide open, with people like David Mancuso playing everything from Van Morrison's Astral Weeks to Buddhist chants and Edgar Winter." Milky-Disco - Dummy Mix [...]

Finally, the moment our 5 readers have been waiting for... NAOH's favorite albums of the year that was 2008. My list has seen a departure from the electronically synthesized towards a more organic sound, and much of it either contains no words at all, or words in foreign/inscrutable tongues, signifying my deep hatred of the English language. So, without further ado, I'll kick it off with... Honorable Mentions: [...]
The forth of our Telepathe - Devil's Trident remixes comes from Mi Ami, with a video by Dan Nixon. Over to Dan- Having your home flooded can do strange things to the mind. Shortly after the August 'monsoon' in Brighton, 20JFG sent me the Mi Ami remix of Telepathe's Devil's Trident ...

This producer has achieved a very healthy mix of ambient electronica and nu disco. The album has all the chilled out aspect of a great chill out album but manages to fuse this with the vibrancy, beats, synths ans sexiness of a deep disco record. The result is a collection of tracks that lovers of all types of electronic music will appreciate. There is something for everyone here. From the rich soundscapes and beats of 'Carefree Highway' right through to the synthy electronic big bass metro area-ish vibes of 'White Diamond' that has been remixed already by Lindstrom. [...]

Hey so if you didn't get that Hatchback that was posted earlier I suggest you get on that. I cannot stop listening to this song, it never gets old. Hatchback - Everything Is New And just for kicks, this one's great too, especially in a Friday night state of mind. Hatchback - White Diamond
