Heartsounds - Drifter Release date: July 26, 2011 Nothing says "This Will Be In My Top 10 Albums Released This Year" like floating clocks. Since their last album had the 'Frisco skyline getting housed by these falling timepieces, I sense a chronology forming. Their next release will have them sitting at a desk at the bottom of the ocean .

Living with Lions has announced a July tour with dates in the Pacific Northwest and western Canada, with Heartsounds joining them for all but the final three shows. Click below for the details. LWL continue to support their controversial (to some) new album Holy Shit , while Heartsounds' sophomore LP Drifter and is due out July 26, 2011 via Epitaph .

A Wilhelm Scream have announced four shows in November following their performance at The Fest 9 in Florida. California's Heartsounds will be performing with them. They will be performing at Asbury Lanes on November 4th. A Wilhelm Scream is currently writing their upcoming album. Heartsounds features ex-members of death metal band Light This City. The band has released their latest album Until We Surrender this past June on Epitaph Records.

My wife and I were listening to Strung Out's Suburban Teenage Wasteland Blues the other day and commenting just how great that record is, and while Heartsounds might not sound exactly like Strung Out, it's easy to listen to their debut album, Until We Surrender , and hear the similarities. The record is full of fast-paced and melodic West Coast pop-punk with male/female vocals.
