You can see the progression in Childish Gambino's music from track to track. "Tell Me" is no exception. Donald Glover brings a much more relaxed and natural flow than what listeners have heard on the majority of his past tracks. Despite the fact that it's a radio rip, this new Childish Gambino cut featuring Heems titled "Tell Me" is sounding like a very solid effort. CG's been dropping songs randomly left and right, and judging from these last few he's let loose (" We Ain't Them ," " Unnecessary "), it appears as if he's attempting to move past Camp and into a new direction. We're interested to see where it all goes, and Das Racist and TDE collaborations are just another reason to keep eyes locked on Donald Glover. [...]

Ever since I caught New York MC Mayhem Lauren's last album, Self Induced Illness , I've been crossing my fingers in hopes that great things will come to this guy. His old school delivery, heavy voice, and gritty personality are exactly what I look for in hip hop like this. Ishmael Butler, more well-known around the internet as the headman of super-indie rap act Shabazz Palaces , recently remixed Lushlife 's "Hale-Bopp was the Bedouins." The new cut is pretty deconstructed, altering the original Gang Gang Dance and Heems samples in the song with Butler's usual off brand takes. Listen to the awesome remix below.

Lushlife has continued to penetrate the indie music scene today, as he enlists Shabazz Palaces to remix his Heems -assisted single, "Bopp Was The Bedouins". Along with some spacey beat reduction from the left-field rap duo, we also get guest vocal additions from The Palaceer, Fly Guy Dai, and Thadillac. The original version of the song is also streamable below and can be captured on Lushlife's most recent solo record, Plateau Vision .

Shabazz Palaces has taken to Lushlife's "Hale-Bopp Was The Bedouins" featuring Heems of Das Racist and chopped it up into some real crazy and trippy shit. Shit's about to get weird. Kool A.D. fresh off of releasing 51 , a 22-track mixtape , puts together some crazy visuals for "La Piñata." He sports a camouflaged jacket, Oakland A's hat and counts singles, throws singles, clubs a piñata -that's just the start. It's not a party unless Mr. Muthafuckin' eXquire and Heems make a cameo appearance, which they do. And they're all drinking 40s and smoking. It's crazy.
