De eerste is uptempo en geeft je een extra boost om nog maar eens alle mappen met post-it notities na te gaan. Mocht dat niet bij jouw middag passen, pak dan Morning After. Deze verzorgt de soundtrack voor het betere chillen. De fysieke cds/lps vallen pas in maart op de mat, maar de digitale versies kan je nu al binnenhalen op Bandcamp .

Atlanta's HeRobust (Hayden Kramer, if you want to write him a check) is a young producer with extraordinary chops. Depending on your frame of reference, he either makes bass music at a hip-hop tempo or experimental hip-hop with a heavy bass music influence. Regardless where you're coming from on it, the kid is doing a murderously awesome job- his tracks alternately slink and strut, with compelling drum programming and massive, jagged synth bass. I mean, if you had any doubts about the strength and vitality of the local scene heading into 2012, the past 32 days should have gone a long way towards quelling your fears. Twenty-twelve is already off to a strong start in terms of good music. Although there haven't been a lot of great albums yet (after all we are only a few weeks in), there have been a host of intriguing singles popping up left and right.
