Aukartustäratavalt suur osa kõigist maailma nohikutest on praegu justkui halvatud, sest kohe-kohe peaks ju netti tilkuma teleseriaali Heroes kolmanda hooaja kaks esimest osa, mis eile õhtul üksteise järel USAs esilinastusid.
Heroes' Jack Coleman has launched a blog on Television Without Pity, and it's definitely worth a look. The H.R.G. Files will delve into Coleman's life as an actor, behind-the-scenes tidbits at Heroes and other side projects, like a movie he...

9/10 Nas has some serious issues. Huge, eye-achingly massive problems. And thank god. As rap wouldn't be nearly as interesting without people like him, who adore controversy and love to channel the world's problems into an album. The majority of the albums he has penned have a clear message, and when it's been lacking, the music struggles. 'Illmatic'- urban poverty. 'Hip Hop Is Dead'- the recent degradation of the quality of hip-hop music. 'Streets Disciple'- the women in Nas' life. And where the focus isn't there, neither is the quality. 'Nastradamas'- whilst [...]
18 months on from 'Hip Hop is Dead', Nas is back. Making the same grand, almost messianic messages, or rather - prophecies. This time, however, he isn't heralding the death of an entire genre, but holding a mirror up to 'the White World' as second track 'You can't stop us now' puts it. Nas is as angry as ever and it shows in the album's belligerent tone, it's anti establishment, anti discrimination, anti fox and anti whatever the 'man' (supposedly) represents. All the makings, you would think, of a classic, iconoclastic concept album that Bush's America is crying out for. [...]
Am I alone in thinking that season 2 of NBC's Heroes was full of turdiness? It was awful and my main problem, besides the terrible writing on the show, is that we want to see these people fly their freak flags, ya know? I want this to be like X-Men, where the characters are all fighting to save the world and the stakes are high and it's intense. I don't really care about the personal psychobabble that the show always seems to wallow in. That aside, I'm still cautiously excited for [...]
I generally keep my expectations low for webisodes and "minisodes" -- I haven't liked the Rescue Me nuggets FX has been airing, and the Office webisodes without the big stars are like eating a BLT without the bacon. However, the...
Via Daring Fireball , "iPhone Customer Calls Jackass TV Reporter a 'Jackass'" I was so happy there were no TV 'journalists' at the line in Soho yesterday!

So Trent Reznor released another album today online. (Here is a post about the last one .) The music sounds really good so far, but this post is about how impressed I am by his web presence. From a usability perspective, it's just the perfect method of distributing music. And behind the scenes, Trent and his web designers are elegantly balancing a number of other factors. First of all, the music is free. As he writes on his blog , "this one's on me." In exchange for your email address, you [...]
Forwarded to me from several friend-sources, I learned that Nine Inch Nails released an album (sans record label) on Sunday Monday. Like Radiohead, it's available in different formats directly from the site. In a twist however, there's also an 'official' BitTorrent release on the Pirate Bay . Now that we're no longer constrained by a record label, we've decided to personally upload Ghosts I, the first of the four volumes, to various torrent sites, because we believe BitTorrent is a revolutionary digital distribution method, and we believe in finding [...]
I haven't been reviewing as many hip hop albums as I would like of late, but I'll be honest, I haven't had a ton of quality ones sent my way. But HERO 's debut album, uhhh, HERO caught my attention mainly due to the fact that their name is HERO. HERO. Herohill. See the connection! Anyway, their clever name lured me in, and I was digging their soulful vibe, so I endeavored to find out more about this Brooklyn twosome. It turns out HERO is comprised of MC E-Dot and producer/singer Darp [...]

Chuck's Buy More side-schtick Morgan (Joshua Gomez) has been, up to this point, fairly annoying, so the prospect of a "Night of Morgan" seemed rather torturous -- not nearly as much as having "Afghani warlords bleed me from my liver" as Major John Casey (Adam Baldwin) so succinctly put it, but you get the point. But last night's Chuck turned me around on Morgan, and he's officially grown on me. His desperate behavior was given a more human side, and as a result, lines that once annoyed, now seem more endearing. [...]
