Zion I & The Grouch seek to recapture the best parts of their previous collaboration while trying to up the ante with new elements. Individually, Zumbi and Amp Live (together known in hip-hop as Zion I, with the "I" pronounced like "eye") create great music. It's easy, and enjoyable, to dig into their discography, because all of their albums are solid, but my favorite Zion I releases are Mind Over Matter (2000), The Takeover (2009), and Atomic Clock (2010). Zumbi is the emcee, a thoughtful but slightly underrated wordsmith with a smooth delivery. His voice falls somewhere near Q-Tip's...

What's that Hyro? You want to do three sets over the course of Download Festival 2011? And each one on a different stage? We don't mind if you do. Hyro Da Hero @ Download Festival 2011 photo gallery by Ben Gibson
Can You Really Handle Learning to Play Guitar? The guitar is an incredibly appealing musical instrument. It is easy to understand the popularity it enjoys because irrespective of the music genre, the guitar usually plays a critical part in any song. The lead singers in most bands also know how to play the guitar. So, if learning [...]

While I have heard much gnashing of teeth about the irregular schedule that Spongebob Squarepants and other Nickelodeon cartoons have, I feel that this allows the creative team to keep the shows fresh without experiencing burnout as rapidly as other children's show. Nowhere is this better seen than in Heroes of Bikini Bottom, the Spongebob [...]
I keep pretty abreast of the different DC comics' cartoons, but I have not (until this 2-DVD set) really had the chance or the ability to properly get into the different Marvel franchises. If you are in a similar boat as me, there is no reason why you should not search out both volumes of [...]

Philip Schwan began producing at 15 years old, making rough recordings with his guitar and releasing video game remixes under the alias 'Tepid.' Schwan began receiving recognition after releasing his official RAC remix of If You Forget Me under the new moniker Blue Satellite . He has since gone on to officially remix Shinichi Osawa, Gemini Club, You! and Popular Computer. Today marks the release of Blue Satellite's first EP, Aurora, avail here on Schmooze Records. Aurora is a cosmic house journey which comes in two parts and remixes from Kill The Hero, [...]

Hot off the release of their third full-length, Scurrilous , Protest the Hero embarked upon a North American tour in support of the album. Punknews interviewer Jason Epstein sat down with Rody Walker and Arif Mirabdolbaghi from the Canadian hybrid-metal band at their New York City show to chat about the album, their new video and what constant touring does to a man.
News And you thought Devin Townsend selling his old spatula on eBay was weird. Perhaps inspired by the popularity of our recent Amon Amarth Viking Beard contest, in which we actually gave away some of AA vocalist Johan Hegg's beard, Tim Millar, guitarist for perennial MetalSucks faves Protest the Hero, is selling his nineteen-month old beard on [...]

![[Album Review] Kinley- fair hero](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/3487939_lg.jpg)
by teepoo The Kinley I'm referring to here is not the lame band that comes up in the last.fm results when you search the name. He is maritime born singer-songwriter Joshua Docksteader who now lives in the prairies of Saskatchewan. The acoustic-folk album fair hero was released February 25, 2011. Tracklist 1. Only Escape 2. Mercy For Us All 3. Foxfire 4. Watching Out For You 5. Defeat 6. [...]

NEUS, has been on fine form recently - we featured the Parisian several times before, but more recently last week with this amazing remix of Trentemoller's 'Miss You '. This weeks offering see's him emerge from his sausage factory after a hard day making some good old fashioned French bangers. And better still you can download it for free. His remix for Stereo Heroes of their track 'Longshot' out on Freak Me Out Rec on June 6 is, for us, his finest work since his truly epic remix for [...]

Minimal, angular and blocky might describe G régoire Guillemin's take on comic book/film heroes and villains. The artist uses sharp lines coupled with vibrant images against stark backgrounds to create instantly recognizable characters that pop off the page. (Originally found at blurppy )
Memorial Day A handful of old men walking down the village street In worn, brushed uniforms, their gray heads high; A faded flag above them, one drum to lift their feet- Look again, O heart of mine, and see what passes by! There's a vast crowd swaying, there's a wild band playing, [...]
![[BANGER] Stereo Heroes – Wild Child (Le Castle Vania Remix)](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/3471653_lg.jpg)
Atlanta's Le Castle Vania just released a preview of a fresh remix he did for Stereo Heroes' upcoming EP 'Exiles'. Aptly titled "Wild Child," this song is wildly BANGING. Though, I am not a fan of having to post a song you can't readily download and enjoy at your leisure, this song was so epically BONKERS that I just had to share. Oozing with throbbing beats, unapologetic in noise level, and just overall EARGASMIC, these three and a half minutes of ear blasting bliss are so enthralling, you'll abuse the repeat until you can get your hands on [...]
