Herzog's songs are more home movie than worldly documentary, but they're also tuneful enough that this doesn't really matter. For the indie minded individual, a band named "Herzog" may immediately bring to mind German filmmaker Werner Herzog, and set speculations soaring over the possibility of a musical equivalent to Herzog's films. The Cleveland band Herzog really caught me by surprised. I sometimes believe the lower your expectations the bigger reward, but I also think this band would impress no matter what. I am beginning see a resurgence of the early '90's indie rock sound, and in several moments on the band's new album Search , Herzog bring the '90's glory. Been meaning to post this glammy jam from Therapies Son , it'll be out on an EP titled Over The Sea , from Transparent Records, yes the same dudes who brought you (only a year ago) the burgeoning meteor known as Yuck . Therapies Son rides the fringe of shiny homemade tunes with a tad bit of infantile charm, and early 70s glam rock that, out of habit, are only missing some "hoo hoos" from Mr. Stardust himself.
