Hilotrons "Lovesuit" Aside from vaguely resembling the Talking Heads' "This Must Be The Place (Naive Melody)," the most immediately striking thing about "Lovesuit" is its immaculate tone. Every element in the track seems almost freakishly crisp and clean, but somehow the song doesn't feel uptight. It's like a state of alert, clear-headed relaxation. It's a bit pornographic to watch B lack Diamond Bay frontman Patrick Krief play guitar. It's very likely that you've never heard of Hilotrons. Not many people have. It's one of those great musical mysteries that escapes me to this very day. Here's a band making music that's edgy, energetic and outrageously catchy, yet nobody listens. At times their music is infectious, sucking you into an frantic body-moving frenzy, yet nodbody is dancing. What went wrong? I've barely written about the festival that I'm volunteering at. I've been busy and I owe a lot of other posts to various bands but with filling in for Jess and it being the exact day that the music portion of the festival begins it's perfect timing.
