Based on a number of recent, popular DIY posts, it's clear that many people who dig indie and alternative music particularly like to read about and listen to music from talented, under-the-radar bands they've never heard of before. Each week, we feature DIY and 'underground' bands and artists that are making music just as good [...] Read more, get songs or stream the entire mix on Indie Rock Cafe

Ubisoft ’s Guillaume Brunier in an interview with Nintendo World Report was asked if ZombiU was a remake of Zombi . “We have a hard time squashing this theory. ZombiU is not a remake of Zombi. True it’s a tempting thing to believe as there are similarities but we only realized this afterwards” , he said. “Now if that helps ZombiU being a franchise, we should stop fighting for the truth!” I sincerely hope that this [...]

The bassline on ' Ritual ' is the kind that made The Smiths easily danceable, it bounces all over the verse leaving the spacious guitars to stretch out in the peripheral. Influenced by O range Juice, The Church, and Echo & the Bunnymen, Brooklyn band Hints are on the cusp of delivering their debut EP. 'Ritual' opens their first single release ' Vol. 1 ', available as a free download from Bandcamp . Download audio file (Hints-Ritual.mp3) Visit Hints @ Tumblr @ Bandcamp .
Earlier this year, South American house trio LPZ released their debut EP 1983 that helped them make a big initial footprint in the dance music world. The three have been staying busy, recently releasing Benedict & Grace on Loungin' Records. Like 1983, Benedict & Grace is deep, percussion-laden house. We had the chance to talk to LPZ about their beginnings, their favorite sounds, and what else they've been up to. Nancy: What came first - Lopez or LPZ? Lopez came first though before even [...]

Photo by Mike Woodward I find myself going down deeper into the Deep House / Disco hole of great music. Being immersed with great music and amazing summertime vibes. It's become an addiction at this point. Constantly searching for that song that makes you feel like the summer will never end. Aren't we all searching for the ENDLESS SUMMER. We all have had many, but one after another they just seem to keep progressively getting better over the years. For me it's all about finding the soundtrack to the current summer, but also to [...]

T Fly hails from Austin and it was Austin Hip Hop Cipher – a [...]

Here's a song called 'Aliens Enter' from a UK artist signed to the ever-excellent Tru Thoughts. This song features Austin-native T Fly rapping over the top of a bottom heavy, breaks influenced production that sounds grimey. Her flow is lazy and and the slow BPM makes this a track to listen to loud while driving slow. Actually, I think I want to hear this on a soundsystem at Carnival or something. It's sick. It's the first song off his new album Daily Intake which is due to come out on 19th March. [...]
I am feeling this track by Hint like you wouldn't believe. The beat is damn near flawless, and the flow of T Fly couldn't be much better. A personal side note: In Ohio, it's hella cold today, and this is just the kind of track that I can bump in my headphones while I watch [...]
