If you haven't heard Lana Del Rey 's "Video Games" by now, we have a problem. The sudden stardom began last Summer and her track appeared more often than not on year-end lists. Her album Born to Die doesn't really have too much riding on it since people love her already, and so do we. Oh, and the other groups we mention this week just so happened to be incredible awesome - just check out the mp3s below. Exdetectives come from out of nowhere with Take My Forever . This solo project of [...]

In a recent poll it was found that I am 99% more likely to listen to and post your music if you have a soundcloud link and it is not already maxed out on 100 downloads. Food for thought. Jay Sean ft. Lil Wayne & Christian Luke - Hit The Lights (Lee Swagger Remix) by Lee Swagger
What do Andrew W.K., Chiddy Bang, Mariachi El Bronx, Passion Pit, Portugal. The Man and Underoath all have in common? First, each are equally awesome and second, they are all part of Taco Bell's 2010 Feed The Beat lineup! Over the past month, we've been listening to all of the submissions to select our one [...]

by: C. D. Harvill Tuesday night, as it does on just about any given night, High Ground in Metairie, Louisiana, hosted an "all-ages" rock show. The evening's lineup was comprised of headliners Hit The Lights , joined on the tour by the pop groups I Rival , Sparks the Rescue , Fireworks , and There For Tomorrow . All of the bands were decent musicians and tight, as a whole. However, some aspects of certain bands' stage shows should be noted. It needs to be understood that the High Ground [...]
It's no secret that Metallica is the exception to the rule, and that being a touring musician in a metal band does not make for a very glamorous lifestyle. Your stinky fart-box of a van often serves as your bed, unless you're lucky enough to be able to find a floor or couch or something [...]

The Bamboozle 2009 was a great success for The Syndicate. The company set up and staffed a booth for Comedy Central Records where we gave out thousands of free posters, stickers, postcards, bags and other free Comedy Central Records swag throughout the weekend. Bo Burnham stopped by the booth on Sunday after his performance for a quick signing, or so we thought. Two hours later and about 400+ signatures later Bo was done! Everyone including Bo was pumped on the great turn out for his signing. [...]
