I'm heading to the Great Escape this year so I decided to acquaint myself with bands and artists I wasn't already familiar with to check out whilst I'm there. Keane's Tom Chaplin doesn't often venture out on his own, but he made an exception for " Same Heart ," a duet he recorded with up and coming Dutch songstress Laura Jansen. The two teamed up together to record "Same Heart" for thep Serious Request charity campaign that is organized by Holland's 3FM pop radio station. Every year, 3FM partners with the International Red Cross to rally listeners around a cause and collect funds during the holiday season. Man.. some music sounds completely like Fall. The keyboard and swirling guitars in this song just sound like a million leaves blowing all over the place right? Too bad then that Dutch musician Jacco Gardner released this gem over the Summer while it was dripping hot. Regardless of my seasonal preferences, Trouble Mind is putting out his new record and it sounds pretty amazing. Large doses of Pink Floyd and The Zombies all rolled up in a 602s psych rug. Pitchfork just posted the new single last week so keep an eye out for this one.
