Actually have to admit that this new Holy Ghost! track "Dumb Disco Ideas" actually slipped my radar. It's taken from their upcoming album "Dynamics" released on DFA Records . Sounds promising I must say. Always been a big fan and admired what Holy Ghost! done so far, so with this new one I can only hope for a new huge album to come!

It's pretty sad that I can wake up on Fridays and instantly have Rebecca Black's hit single in my head all day. I can't wait until she starts DJing. Here's a small mix of new & old tracks to help you start your weekend with. I'm planning on chilling all weekend so these work just fine for me. Welcome to "The Booth," a new series where we get up close and personal with some of EDM Culture's best DJs and producers. Set in, you guessed it, a booth... our hosts ask the questions you want the answers to and a couple boring ones too, just roll with it... So grab a beer, or a soda if you are not legal, and hang out with us... Please note many of these will have two parts, because it was just too good to cut down. This episode Lisa Strauss catches up with Holy Ghost! right before they hit [...]

New York City had its second wettest day in June ever last Friday, the first day of Governors Ball . For almost 24 hours, Tropical Storm Andrea lingered over Randall's Island and decimated the grounds. Where once there were acres of grass that made up a driving range and what seemed to be prime real estate for some games of Ultimate Frisbee now was an acrid mud field. By the end of the festival, Snoop Lion had more grass than Randall's Island. And for reference, Lollapalooza paid $350,000 to repair Grant Park after a 45-minute rain storm came [...]
The first day of Governors Ball looked like a washout, but if you were on ground zero, you would've contracted the infectious joy, commitment, and love for music emitted from crowds and artists. The rain gods sustained a wrath of wind and muddied travels from stage to stage, but the spirits of patrons came together, ignited the elements, and carried the festival until it was cancelled due to hazardous weather conditions. One thing is for sure, music knows no age, race or gender, so it was a magnificent sight to see fans of music and good vibes hunkering [...]

![[Sasquatch! 2013] Recap: Day Two](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4985509_lg.jpg)
As the weekend of Sasquatch! festivities continued, the weather got better and so did the overall mood. The sun beamed down and the festival goers were waking up eager to party. The smell of bacon was met with the crack of beer cans opening, and campers were quick to set up ladder golf or throw a frisbee around. Day two was already off to a fantastic start and the nighttime was even better. The xx, Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros, Bloc Party, Holy Ghost!, Porcelain Raft, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, a hilarious stand up set [...]

There are many good things about May ending. Firstly, the weather here in London has been ludicrously terrible. More importantly though, stumbling into June means that we can finally make our Summer Playlist. Summer is perhaps the season linked to music more strongly than any of the others. Whether it's festivals, outdoor stadium gigs, or simply listening to some tunes in the park, there is undoubtedly a very strong connection. There is also some amazing music kicking around at the moment, which is why we've scooped it up and stored it in one place for you. [...]
Saturday at Sasquatch! boasts mellow vibes and ethereal moments.
What else can be said about Sasquatch! these days? What started out as a three-day music festival promoting some of alternative music's bubbling acts, has become one of the best destination festivals in the country. Every Memorial Day weekend now, the Gorge Amphitheater gets packed with the Pacific Northwest's wildest citizens, Canada's most dedicated fans, and weary travelers scattered from other parts of the world. It remains a festival where the experience matters much more than the actual music. Back in February, the online community groaned about this year's headliners, but this is a festival that [...]

**Block Party Waking up early has its advantages at a music festival (“early” being a relative term and meaning roughly 8:30 in this case). First: hot water and no line for the showers. Although not an option at all campsites, hot water especially is still a “hot” commodity when this many people are involved. Secondly: a few moments of quiet, the calm before the storm if you will. There will, undoubtedly, be a group of guys playing Lawn-Pong (much like Beer-Pong but substituting a large, grassy area for a ping-pong table, buckets for Dixie cups, and full beers [...]
As day 2 of Sasquatch! began everybody, from fans to bands to tech, seemed to be adjusting to the swing of things. It was a little warmer, and there was no rain in sight. After walking through a camping area set up with afternoon beer pong and a car blasting "Same Love," I finally got in to find the first wave of bands well into their sets. Bear Mountain had already pulled in a huge crowd with their catchy, comfort-food electronic pop, and Rose Windows were just finishing a decent set, albeit to a much smaller [...]
Apart from the fact that you're in one of the greatest North American music festival settings with a superb lineup, you get a one-up from those attending Lollapalooza, Coachella, Pitchfork or Bonnaroo... You won't share what you're watching live with the rest of the world through the Internet. Ironic that I'm writing this here, isn't it? YouTube and Sasquatch! currently don't have a partnership set up. Obviously this is due to the remoteness of Quincy's Gorge location, but it's also a huge draw. What you experience and share with you're fellow Sasq-watchers will be considerably more unique, and [...]

By Stef Siepel May 24, 2013 The Weekly Froth! A weekly take on six tracks, most of which have recently popped up somewhere in the blogosphere. Bit of a mixed bag with a slight leaning towards house, disco, and remixes, but generally just anything that for some reason tickled the writer’s fancy. Track of the week : ‘Dumb Disco Ideas’ by Holy Ghost! Seriously though, this is epic. Has been stuck on repeat here, with that crazy clip by Ben Fries [...]
“ Dumb disco idea #1 – release brand new single called “dumb disco ideas” day after world gets new daft punk stream. ” Lo de arriba es lo que aparecía el pasado 13 de mayo en la cuenta de Twitter de DFA, el ultra-cool sello discográfico con base en Nueva York dirigido (con muy buen tino) por el LCD James Murphy, y sí, de forma muy gráfica, reflejaba el espectacular tsunami (o la desoladora falta de él, todo depende de con qué cristal se mire) provocado por la difusión pública del " Random Access [...]
