The track started with a guitar line Mike was working on that Jesse lovingly referred to as Hole-ish, which could be a slight to some people but wasn't in this case. After that, the song filled in without a lot of communication. Everyone sort of fell into their own parts without talking, and I know Cat and I didn't talk about our lyrics, which usually doesn't happen. Last night, Florence + the Machine put on a mind-blowing, goosebump-inducing concert at the TLA in Philadelphia. We were devastated when we found out that they weren't coming to Montreal, but I got extremely lucky and was able to catch them on the first night of their US tour. New York City's Holy Hail opened the show with a catchy, dynamic set. Frontwoman Cat Hartwell led the group in a rousing performance that set the tone perfectly for the evening.
