"I was going to town with this mod'd delay and tape deck", Hooray For Earth 's frontman Noel Heroux wrote in the track description that he uploaded a few hours ago via the band's official Soundcloud . Being quite different from the punchy drums and blown out synths we're normally used to hear from Hooray For Earth, this psych-electronic, experimental track is seriously worth a listen if you feel like being in a zoned-out mood, as he wrote us himself. Whatever this guy (or his band) does, I can't deny it's done with utter perfection each bloody time. [...]

Hooray for Earth - "True Loves" . The notion with the laser-guns is that you'd get this device, point it at someone, and make that someone disappear. They'd be detonated, demolished, turned into spray. The first laser-guns were gigantic, big as rooms, but the scientists were certain that they'd improve. The laser-guns would get smaller, small as guns, and space-cowboys'd be able to carry them in holsters, swaggery. Unfortunately the laser-guns never got smaller. The technology just didn't scale down. So we haul our laser-guns, big as rooms. in wagons the size of dance-floors. They are heavy and cumbersome. They [...]
I fully understand that my best of the year list is usually published far after many of the hip new kids. The World Forgot has long been a dessert blog, if you will, that might not provide enough sustenance on a day to day basis to get you through life, but I do provide a sweet finish. On top of that I've been able to listen through all of the albums I heard in 2011 for an extra month. In all reality this is the definitive list. Enjoy the music. 01 : Fleet [...]
Tweet vaso link Here is the latest video from Hooray For Earth, off my third favorite record of 2011.

Editor's Note Happy New Year! Some of you are probably wondering what happened to us. Well work, family, and of course organizing our little (not so little anymore) variety show Snob Theater has taken quite a bit of time away from the website. We've had probably the best year so far and I'm happy to announce my favorite records of 2011 to launch the reboot of Kata Rokkar. I don't review albums at all but i do listen to a shitload and it's been a great and surprising year for new music. [...]

Hoy, vengo a compartirles el video perteneciente al mas reciente sencillo de Hooray For Earth "Realize It's Not The Sun" y si no mal recuerdo, este ya es el tercer extracto de su debut "True Loves" (y si no es asi, por favor de corregirme, gracias). In today's day and age, the ability to obtain access to music producing software and creating multiple remixes of songs has become as easy as finding a dubstep version of Adele 's "Rolling in the Deep". Although most remixes turn out to be really shitty, there are a handful of amateur artists, and professionals alike, who have the keen ability to take simple elements of one song and transform into an original piece of art, 17-year-old Davis Johnson is one such individual. Johnson is the mind behind his experimental Rain Rain Man project. While attending [...]

Hooray for Earth - No Love (Rain Rain Man Remix) Noel just passed me this re-imagination of his track with the following description: " just yesterday got this remix from a 17 year old kid I met during tour in Salt Lake City… he approached me at the show and was really enthusiastic about recording and making records. I think he's really ahead of the game at his age, he sent me some other stuff he's working on… His name is Davis, he goes by Rain Rain Man…" Absolutely.
For the holidays, Cymbals Eat Guitars ' buddy Noel of Hooray for Earth remixed their song 'Keep Me Waiting'. You can grab it here. We've been remiss not to post the actual promo video for the song, so watch it in the embed below. (Warning: youth hooliganism - of both sexes - up ahead.) Martin reviewed the whole of 'Lenses Alien', which you can read over here. Click here to view the embedded video.

The past 365 days were massive! It's already 2012 and that's our final chart for the previous year. Nite Versions already compiled the best songs and videos for 2011. Now it's time for the coolest part - the list of greatest albums for 2011. It's a very hard task to pick 16 albums you've liked the most - there are so many good releases and I wish I could put all of them on that list. Find out which are the finest 16 of 2011 in Nite Versions' opinion. [...]
Posted in General Clickable Play-This-List Soundbite Following on from yesterday's post featuring our favorite albums and EPs of 2011, today we're highlighting our favorite songs. Here is part two of counting down the singles and music videos of 2011. This time it is counting down from #30 to #11. Most of the singles are compiled from the Singles Chart on my site. There will be some songs that wasn't on the chart but are worthy to be noticed. Check it out. 30. Foster The People - Pumped Up Kicks [...]

I'm officially not doing an albums of the year list. There have been so few that I wholeheartedly enjoy, I'd have to do a top 10 that starts at 8. But that is not to say that there wasn't some exceptional new music this year. Click HERE for my favorite tracks from 2011. I'm hoping that 2012 will pick up the pace, but if not, I'll just further recede into the vintage music that I love so much. I hope you enjoy listening to the mixes as much as I like making them. [...]

It's that time of year to look back on the past 12 months and say "what the hell happened to the last 12 months?!". It's also that time of year where us music bloggers and self-proclaimed critics take the time to put together some Best Of lists for your reading pleasure. They don't really mean a whole lot and you can love 'em or leave 'em, but it seems like the right thing to do to sum up the year in preparation of the next. This year we're featuring personal lists from all of our fantastic writers. [...]
