Moustache Machine defines himself as "a cosmic nu-disco producer from Paris" who "likes cheeseburgers." After listening to the guy's remix of Chromeo's "Hot Mess," his mini bio really does make sense. Cosmic? Sure, it's funky and playfully futuristic. Nu-disco? It's wonderfully corny: a chintzy caricature of disco... Like a cheeseburger, it's straightforwardly indulgent, a little camp, and it hits. Also, Moustache Machine says that if you "like photos of burgers," you should follow him on twitter. In the words of Chromeo, "WHAAAT?!"

Today I have a pretty interesting new remix of Hot Mess by Chromeo. 23 puts a heavy spin on the funky original. It starts off pretty nice sampling the original while adding a big kick drum. When it drops its heavy but not over the top. Each synth has plenty of room and the sound is very clear. All in all its a dope track that should get put on steady rotation on the Dubstep playlist. I didn't think a remix could ever rival's Duck Sauce's when it came to Chromeo's track "Hot Mess". Seemed a little unfair that brothers were remixing each other's track, kind of an advantage if you ask me. It's like Robinson Cano's dad pitching to him in the Home Run Derby. Bullshit. After the piles and piles of remixes that came about after the Hot Mess remix competition, I sort of just overlooked every remix as they were making the original track really worn out for me. But then Italy's Altered Beats (Kuzam, Evilbass and Blorgio) sent along their remix, and it breathed new life into the track.
