I must say that the Nashville band, Hotpipes , had not previously crossed my radar. The band had a debut album out in 2005 called "The Deadly Poison", however, I cant say Ive heard a whole lot from or about them. The second album from the band however, is not only on the radar, but is making its way into my personal heavy rotation. I have yet to actually get my hands on the Hotpipes record that's coming out later this month, but even without hearing the whole thing, the band already deserves a post - because they're responsible for my first favorite song of the year.
