Music videos are not only an audio treat, they also provide us with a visual, a window into the soul of the musician's song. Many emotions and ideas go through our heads while watching them. At Earbuddy, we like to express those thoughts through the Japanese form of poetry known as Haiku, three phrases of five syllables, seven syllables, and five syllables.

Megalicious album from HTRK (Hate Rock) originally from Melbourne but now relocated to London via Berlin. Out on Ghostly Work (work, work)is a mindblowing claustrophobic minimal dark wave temptation that will haunt you down, its bizarre, hyper sensual and each song its just better than the one you heard before... David Lynch appears in your dreams slices your throat and looks at your eyes while you bleed to death while Ian Curtis writes a poem about it, a ritual of punishment in a forgotten cell a distant drumming and a women in silk leather laments longing words of [...]

HTRK have released a video for the track "Synthetik" off their album Work (work, work) . This is one of my favorite cuts off of it. Check it out after the jump and let me know what you think. Read more » http://rpc.blogcatalog.com/ http://rpc.technorati.com/rpc/ ping
Excelente!
Excepter 's Nathan Corbin, aka Zebrablood, just sent in these ominous, narratively ambiguous black-and-white visuals for London-via-Melbourne electronic group HTRK , pronounced "Hate Rock." Following the tragic suicide of founding member Sean Stewart in March of last year, Jonnine Standish and Nigel Yang returned this September with a new studio full-length on Ghostly International - their second in the group's nearly eight years of existence. "Bendi," layers Standish's ghostly vocals over dub-slow deep bass hits and slinky, contrapuntal beat programming. Corbin's video first spoke to me of the feeling of rediscovering the streets and interiors your everyday urban itinerary through the [...]
OMFG!

We could go out searching for a strong melody, or close our eyes and drift away. HTRK (pronounced "Hate Rock") have an intense focus on the power of mood and texture, as evidenced by "Synthetik" and "Eat Yr Heart." There's a bliss to the atmosphere that sounds as though it's fading into a creeping shadow of dystopia. It's seductive, permeating the eardrums right into the mind -- like the romantic whisper of a warm body. And while there is undoubtedly a stream of euphoria floating throughout, the dark undertones are hard to shake. Considering that both tracks were produced in [...]

OMFG!

![[Review] HTRK: "Work (Work, Work)" (7.5)](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/3720040_lg.jpg)

HTRK is pronounced, "Hate Rock." This is their first record since their bassist died in 2010. Their new LP, "Work (work, work)," is available right now from Ghostly International . It's not witch house, but it does share the ethereal vocal texturing and sopping wet beats, albeit HTRK 's are done with 808, not Three Six. Since forming in 2003, the band released two EPs and one LP, and toured with the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, the Horrors, and Fuck Buttons. In [...]
Bumbershoot 2011 Day Two (September 4th, 2011 - Seattle, Washington) **Atari Teenage Riot Maybe it was a mistake to kick-off the second, glorious, sunny day of Bumbershoot (a fun, colloquial way of saying umbrella), Seattle’s annual international music and arts festival, by arriving at 6pm after seven hours on an airplane, and walking straight into the dark pit of the Exhibition Hall music stage. Watching Anti-Flag rage incoherently about social injustice to a group of half-interested, disaffected, fans who couldn’t be convinced to mosh or crowd surf despite the [...]
