Irish four piece Hybrasil have recently been signed to UK dance label Born To Dance and they are looking to release dance mixes of various tracks from their debut album 'The Monkey Pole'. This band from Wicklow town consists of four friends who grew up together and judging by their album, they have a lot of musical chemistry. They have played throughout Ireland and the UK over the past few years with bands like The La's, Republic Of Loose, Alfie, Frank and Walters and Idlewild. [...]
There were only ever four real contenders for this once the voting started. The top four albums below trail-blazed from day one and the others all languished behind. This year almost 200 of you voted for 61 different Irish albums with 354 votes counted in total. That's three more albums than last year. This blogs championing of the number one album below has left me in a slightly awkward position but perhaps it was inevitable.
