A few weeks back I was sifting thru our impaled mailbox and I vaguely recall listening to something that got my attention, but had forgotten due to the amount of other information that had already be crammed into all the crevasses in my brain. Hyperstory , a.k.a. Los Angeles based musician C. Scott Blevin, has a new self-titled album this week. The record intertwines the songcraft guard and computerized music world with the result a stirring of song, soundtrack, and samplings. "A Happening" begins as if its heading towards golden A.M. territory, though its destination is entirely different. Just discovered this amazingly good band/artist called Hyperstory. I haven't listened to much of their material except this song, which is really good.
